Finally, it's in working order. I've been toiling over this for months. Basically, I copied Joni's mod. However, I used Kingman ESP internals since they were cheaper than a Centerflag noid and I could use the Tboard which is also cheap. The trigger clicks the switch, the noid trips the sear. Pretty simple. Forgive my crappy digi cam, but here are the pics:

Specs for the frame right now are:

Modified Kingman ESP Noid
Java 9.6v Rechargeable Battery
Scenario Dreams T-Board
Scenario Dreams Ramping Chip
Heavily modified Kingman ESP Micro Switch (on the edge of legality... sometimes shaking the gun will fire it)
Kingman ESP On/Off Switch
Reverse Polarity Magnets (control the post-travel instead of pre-travel)

Basically, this thing rips. It shoots ropes and has zero kick. I'm very pleased with the mod. I'll be even more pleased when the breakbeams. The ramping is pretty cool I must say lol. It's hella fast. Vids will be up as soon as I can get a hold of my friend's digi vidcam.

i sorta wonder; if its easy enough to do this kind of stuff at home, why haven't any manufacturers started making RELIABLE electro frames years ago (without the need for a big battery pack)?
i saw that logic is making a cool eframe that looks awesome.
and i know that centerflag/booyah made an electro frame a long time ago, but those had reliabilty issues and never really caught on.
is the ult making electro frames more reliable and easier to do?
i'm not really keen as to how to mod a spyder mag or what the requirements are, so i'm sorry if my post sounds really newbish.

if someone could manufacturer spyder mags on a large scale, i bet they'd sell like hotcakes (hint hint). i'd love to do it myself but i lack the tools and mechanical expertise spydermags wouldn't be near as expensive as a devil mag and wouldn't have the large battery of a standard emag. cool beans.

looks great, to bad the battery doesnt fit in the frame, but it got me thinking. Could you power the frame from say a Warp feed?

How did you mount the trigger switch? Did the sear sit that far down into the frame without having to modify the frame at all?

Good job btw. I was actually considering doing something like this myself before I decided to just keep the spydermag frame.

I was thinking about doing this, just ordered a dragun frame so I could make a second reverse noid spydermag frame and was thinking about putting the parts of the first one in my chimera. I hadnt decided yet if I wanted to make my chimera electro or pneumatic though. instead of using that big block of aluminum (or im guessing thats what it is) to hold the noid and switch in place, could you not make a "L" bracket to fit in there? This could give you enough room to stand the board strait up and down so you can fit the battery in their. You did a great job, keep us updated with anything new you do.

Vwise: I don't understand the question.

BigEvil: Yeah, I just slid the micro switch into the slot where the sear rod used to come out. It fits snug and doesn't move. No drilling or screws were required.

Arstron: It is a bracket, not a solid block of aluminum. Even with the board sitting straight up there isn't room for the battery. The things protruding from the board (LED, chip, etc.) don't allow it. Even with the inside of the frame dremelled out in that area, it still wouldn't work. My friend and I took the measeurements and decided it wouldn't be worth it. Thus the ghetto battery placement. But hey, it works. The only reason Joni could fit his battery in was because he used a predator morlock, very small.

Thanks for the compliments! Next update will be the vid of me shooting it in semi and ramping. Then I will have the eyes installed. I'd really like to send it to a mag tech to do that. Someone who has installed breakbeams on mags before. Coolhand, GADevil, TAG, anyone else?

I just took it out of the ESP frame I bought. It's a stock Kingman switch, but I opened it up and dicked around with it. It's really light now, anyone know how I might go about measuring how light?
