I blame this on the Ion Smart parts evil marker that killed resale value on everything. You go get a nice 04 speed for like 700-800 or get a ion for like 280 and it shoots the same exept its plasticy.

No, the Ion has nothing to do with it.

PB marker resales suck for two reasons:

1) The market is saturated, and has been near so for about a year now. The Ion didn't help this, but it certainly didn't start it.

2) Kiddies who do not know/don't care about the value of a dollar. The real world work that it takes to earn that dollar. You don't see kids who bus tables or work in honest-to-god landscaping jobs (not mowing grass) gun whoring. That's because they know exactly how much sweat and toil it takes to generate the money they spend. The CC Kiddies don't know/care. They buy a marker for X, and sell it for X/2 (or X/4 ), because they are bored with the it and don't care what it takes to get rid of their current marker (so they can then justify the expenditure of 2.5X for the new marker that they have to have. . . . . . . . . . you know, since they dumped their "old" marker for next to nothing and now don't have anything to shoot).

We were all screwed the second that the number of kids who didn't care about throwing away money started to outnumber those of us who do.

This market is so fickle, because the main demographic is of the age that they change their mind every time they blink their eyes. As the players get younger, the problem will only get worse.

I suggest you buy a marker you like, and love it forever, because you'll lose your *** trying to resell it. :rofl: (I plan to die with my arms wrapped around my Viking, MAC solenoid and all. ).

well for me this seems to not be true ( sadly enough)
Even though i pay 500 bucks a month for rent, pay for school , Work full time.
i still seem to go thru 3-5 highend guns a year.

ok this is out of hand, ok ion does have sumthin to do with it. When it was realsed the bushy drop from 500 to like 300- 350.

and saturation of market and other stuff that has been mentioned is ture to. I also belive it's cause of are selves. kids want a new gun so they sell theres dirt cheap, well if a person see a cocker thats worth 600 go for 300. Why would he pay 600 when he can get for 300. I mean dont just blame sp they didnt help the matter, but not all of it is there fault either, and also u get qaulity i have like 5 ppl i no that got ion, and they have a lot of problems. air leaks, breaks and more stuff. So for the extra 300 like for the angel verse ion, u get qaulity. u can get a quality ion too but u got to invest the 200 to 400 dollars which make the prices similar. i mean i have seen some nice ions but guys paid a lot to makem nice.
