Good anno - gaurenteed turn around time

I'm looking for a place that does good anno job, and will gaurentee there turn-around time. I think we are too accepting of "its custom it will get done when its done" after we have paid. Not to knock the smaller places that have to do this but if I'm paying $200 for a fade anno (and what does it cost to anno per ton) I am paying a premium for a premium job and I expect premium care and a decent - or at least gaurenteed turn around time.

    So - any suggestions?

PS - yeh, my spelling sucks.

You do have a point, with the amount of money we are paying we should at least know exactly when our stuff will be done...Lets protest or something

id reccomend fbm as well. krazy is one good businessman, when shaynes dm4's engraving was a bit off, he offered to give him a refund on the work, or take the gun back and re anno it if it was that big of a deal. i think they will take care of you.

To be fair (and having a home anno setup for personal use, I know a bit about it) the cost of a good anno job is nothing about the annodizing itself. It's all labor for good surface preperation. Anodizing hides nothing at all. Polishing and finishing the metal is what takes the time. Fades/whatever add a bit of complexity, which is why they cost more.

I'm not as concerned as the paying for it as I am - if I pay for a premium job (and I think the prices we pay are premium) I expect a premium job both in quality of work and customer service / time frame.

I highly recommend A+. They did all Xmag bodies here stateside, so they are the natural goto for touch up work to match the original factory finish. As an added bonus, they also do custom milling in house.

                  Great prices, excellant turnaround time.

FBM has done some great work with their ano's, just not their fields...They are great for some of the more complex jobs, such as graphic anodizing. However, A+ seems to be great at some of the more simple jobs. That is not to say FBM will do a bad job, but it's just what I have noticed.

I am still a fan of PK Selectives, but A+ doeas a great job too.

As for the Xmags Ano, they were annoed a few different places.

You are only partly correct. PKSelectives did all but the AGD Pride guns, certain special anno patterns(mexican camo, shark attack), and my xmag(due to a mistake in planning )

APlus does top notch work, my xmag's anno looks like wet paint, where as the same anno done by PK doesn't have the same depth. As Hexis says, it really is all in the preperation.

My current mag projects, will be going to FBM, I saw their work at IAO and it really is fantastic.

A+ Anodizing is fantastic. Got mine back in less than two weeks with awesome results. Price was more than fair for the work I got. Excellant customer service.

I just got back from a several week trip to the UK and will be posting pics of the reverse fade splash I got from him that borders on camo (which is what I wanted). Can't say enough... Awesome!
