Roller Triggers? how do they work?

from what i can see its just a lil roulette in the middle of the trigger. from what i think, its made to roll ur finger up and down on the trigger which makes it shoot everytime u pass by the roullette causing the trigger to kick back. Am I right or is this just some nonsense jibberish im saying?

I think a roller trigger is a trigger with a bearing in it to make it slide smooth. Although I have seen the triggers you talk about, im not sure what their called. Or maybe im wrong?

You're right. You just run your finger up and down the trigger fast and everytime you hit the roller the gun shoots. I'm pretty sure its called raking.

er... well you guys are talking about 2 different things

a roller trigger is basically a trigger that as a ball bearing roller at the hinging point (where your trigger rod goes into), makes pull smoother/lighter.

a 'RollerTrigger' is a 2 finger trigger that has a little fat disc thing in the middle of the 2 finger groove for easier raking. As far as I know theres only been one for the emag, but I'm sure someone has made one for some other marker (or homebrew).

I just got a roller trigger microswitch from radio Shack, and cut a piece of plastic so the trigger would fit overtop, and now I have a raking machine. Basically, if you've ever triedraking a normal 2x trigger, it's really awkward, once you get the roller, your fingers just wants to rake it everytime you hit it.

If you're trying to say it's *not* legal, I believe you're mistaken.

yeah roller triggers are very legal... you are exerting force on them by moving your finger up and down...

i have never seen anyone snap or run and gun effictively while raking (actually, dont think i have ever seen anyone raking in game ever) but, you will look like a beast at the chrono, and thats what really matters right

I've never seen anyone pulled for raking a roller trigger in a tournament... but I've never seen anyone actually rake a trigger in a tournament before. According to the letter of the law, I think that it could be ruled illegal, since for each exertion of force by the finger (one downstroke) you're causing multiple firing cycles. However I don't think that anyone would pull you for this, since they'd probably be too busy laughing if you're playing a serious tournament.
