Well, WDP must be doing something right, they're still in business. Plus, no one can complain about all the new WDP releases hurting resale, because right now resale sucks on every marker

did anybody notice the NEW SHORT BARREL THREADS thing. if WDP changed the barrels threads, that could be their biggest **** up ever. i know if they are diferent they probably wont go over very well.

having been an angel onwner for over 6 years now, and owning 2 of them, and about 11 barrels, no way in hell i would even consider that new gun reguardless of how it looks or what it does.

They probably didn't change the pitch of the threads, so any Angel barrel will probably still work. What it sounds like they did is reduce how much you have to screw in the barrel to have it be tight.

Gotta admin, though, the millwork and attention to detail are very nice.

tac-elf, while you may be right, and i may be making something out of nothing, considering that i don't have either of my angels here with me to check. but if i'm not mistaken the threads on the angels start at the very beguining of the body and about an inch after the last thread.

if thats the case, it looks like they did change it, but again, i could be wrong since i don't have my guns here at work to check myself.

The 05 speed has the same internals as the A4 Fly. Thus, one of WDPs selling point for the speed, "The revolutionary Fly internals"

after my 04 speed shot like every other angel on the market, i said screw it, and moved to the matrix. they are nice, but nothing special any more, grab an eyed lcd and see the same performance, shoot them side by side, and tell me if you can tell enough of a difference, then use them each in game(the lcd would have to be eyed of course) and then tell me if you can tell a difference. didnt think so

your crazy...an 04 Speed doesnt shoot like the newer angels...and yes the FLY converted angels shoot really well...that i agree with you

Not accordding to WDP. They never mentioned anything about redesigned Fly internals for an 05 speed, just it has the 'Fly engine'

totally agree with you...but you gotta admit..thats a bad arse gun...

and i hear its going for about $1395....thats not bad considering the XSV ego and DM5 started over $1500

buzzer sound/ I do not ever remember seeing the dm5 over $1395 and if it was somebody was charging too much. I dont know about egos.....but the trix I do. ALL new high end guns retail from $1100-1400. If you got the cash to blow like then 300-400 difference will not matter.
All angels are not the same. An aced lcd-ir3 is in no way similiar to a 05 speed or g7. I do not like angels anyways, but I have shot them all-even an aced lcd, led, ir3, and speed. I can care less about minimal or major internal overhaul, they do not shoot the same.
