Remind me what this has to do with paintball

The funny part is the traccers are every 3 rounds, that means that there are 2 rounds in between every one of those. IT does sadden me that they put some explosives on it.. The 30 cal alone would have done enough.. But I guess it wouldnt have been spectacular enough.

I thought that title went to the seaspray (or whatever its called). some defensive machinegun mounted on battleships, designed to take out cruise missles. I remember seeing it on TV.. you couldn't even hear it shoot, so much as a really loud hum.

The gun mounted on the ships is a twenty millimeter cannon thus technically a gun but works the same way and it can fire at 6000 rpm and when mini guns fire it sounds like tearing linen

When they referred to fastest firing gun, they meant the system it fired on. Electronicaly controlled chainguns(mini guns, etc, all the same thing), WERE the fastest firing guns ever created, until Metal storm(see above post) came out.

Yes, the ship mounted anti missile system is called Phalanx, and it is a 6000RPM 20mm minigun.

While Phalanx itself is not the fastest, mini guns were.

No, miniguns(which the avenger is), WERE the fastest firing system. I beleive that the Avenger shoots 6000 rounds a minute. Metal rain shoots far faster though.

Just to clear it up: All guns with multiple rotating barrels are miniguns(chainguns, whatever you wish to call them), and were previously the fastest firing guns, but metal rain beats them.
