if you think you might like the palmers, then go for it. i'm pretty sure they have a great re-sale value.
do you care if you can't remove the barrel? i know that would be the deciding factor for me.

Id get a palmer with a phantom feed tube which makes the gun cost more but just look a bit cooler if you ask me. Just ask yourself if you prefer a solid feeling gun or a very light, less solid feeling gun.

Also keep in mind that a super stocker costs more money.

Phantoms are great and there are tons of fun upgrades for them

in my opinion: get the phantom. i had a new superstocker and got rid of it almost ASAP in favor of a phantom.

some people swear by palmers and SS's, but i just don't see it.

phantoms are way less expensive, modular, just as good quality (if not batter) barrels are interchangeable and it's lighter. it also gets just as good efficiency if not better than a palmers and is easily servicable by the owner.

why i traded the SS: pump handle detached from the quick disconnect on the bolt during play, seal fried out after less than 500 rounds.

i just didn't enjoy the SS like i currently enjoy my phantom.

        hope this helps.

I can't speak for the SS, but I really like my Phantom. It's clearly well built and that modularity is what puts it over the top.

I would side with the phantom. They have a great feel and are very well build. Plus they are fairly inexpensive. Ive got a vsc and absolutely love it.

I just want this stuff gone, super low prices

Im going to have to throw out the ccm pump cocker. I know that isn't one of the two that you have intially started asking about, however you get the feel of a cocker, with the smoothest pump stroke I have ever felt. I love my phantom for it's lightness but I love my ccm for its pure sexiness. Sorry I have nothing really to say for or against Palmer's simply for never actually playing with one.

Yea phantom allll the way or pick up a CCM pump(now they are sexy) but a phantom with an awesome anno job and all the bells and whistles can hold its own in a beauty pagent.

Personally I have never shot either but from extensive research(I have way to much time on my hands) I would go with a Palmers. I really like the houndstooth but I like guns with CA. Also I'm not sure what its called but I also really like the palmer bolt action 12g quick changer.

On the side of the phantom, I think of it as more of a speedball pump gun. More for playing against non pumps. It is smaller in many aspects and I am pretty sure it has a higher rate of fire.

Bottom line, go with whichever one fits your type of play better.

                    No particular order:

                    Phantom

                    Sterling

                    AMP Illusion

                    CCM'd cocker

Palmer gear is legendary... but for most players its out of budgetary means. PPS work is great, and they have a rabid following. For good reason.

But the four above cover a range of size and pump configuration. Won't go wrong with any of them.

ive changed my mind to the phantom and the SS25

from wat ive seen the phantom is smaller/lighter and the SS25 has a smoother pump action.

SS25 will be more expensive but not too bad were imma be pinchin pennys and stuff....

id still like more thoughts on this...thanks

Plus if you get the S5 Pump it can easily be changed to a semi.
