    tippmann effect

Does anybody know the gun set-ups for tippmann effect? What would have to do to get a tippmann up to their standards?

i know some of them used matrix boards in them. i know nothing about tippmann's but i also think they used e-bolts.

they are binded to use what "looks like" a tippmann, but you are not, so if your thinking of doing the same, its not worth it, but from what ive seen, the a5's use ebolts that are capped at 17 and just low pressure setups. a few might use 3rd party boards

In interviews I have read that they use stock Tippmann products, but some of the players may do there own modifications. I have also read that Effect has been using the new W.A.S. board for the last year. This board will let you shoot as fast as you can feed. I have one in my A5 and can shoot at 18 bps.
They use the stock products because they want Tippmann fans to buy them. It wouldnt make since to use other companies products on a Tippmann factory team.

Note: Tippmann has worked with W.A.S. in developing this board.

Sorry: I was a member of A5OG before I was called back to the mighty mag.

tippmann outside, other stuff inside. like i said above, they have to use the tippmann body, and they have sponsors to pay for the stuff. its just not worth it to the rest of us, (although they are nice a-5's).

you say 18 bps... since you said you had e-frame and not a rt, is that without debounce or using ramp?

i know that recently udnerwent a major chagne were most of them walked out. It involved tippman saying they could only use pretty much stock tippys and the players didnt like it. I do know that they WERE not using stock boards at that time, or stock loaders. I know the team at ultimate madness was pretty good and the guns were pretty fast for tippys......

the guns the tippman owner's group had at IAO were pretty fast, too.. fast enough to keep up in todays standards, at least.

Especially the one that looked exactly like a Dynasty Shocker . You also have to remember, at IAO we were playing under semi-only rules so super fast bouncey / ramping boards were not there to have to keep up with.

I think its the standard method of figuring out BpS used by players.

Glickman: yes that is with ramping. The WAS board has semi, and nppl or psp(?) ramping to 3 round burst or full auto. But if you had the right trigger it would walk at whatever. Oh and the only limiting thing as far as the bps goes is the cylcone feeder. At this time it maxes out at 18 bps. If you had a faster feeding system or did mods on the cyclone it would go even faster.

Hey lohman instead of calling someone a lier(sp) in the snide way that you just did. Why dont you go check the board out on the WAS site and the A5og Instead of coming off as some jerk that has a fancy expensive gun and a cheap $400.00 gun cant compete with it.
I have no reason to lie(sp) about my A5. I use my emag now and use the A5 as backup.
As it stands right now my A5 with ramping is faster than my Emag without ramping. If your just walking the triggers the Emag is alot faster. Once my Predator Emag board comes in it will be faster in both modes.

Simmer down now son... he wasn't attacking you, or anybody specifically. He was making reference to the obvious and gross exaggeration that's prevalent in paintball internet bickering.

Yeh.. cause my position has always been that its volume over accuracy that it takes to compete
