Paintball paper for college, help!

I just got a writing assignment in which I have to write about a topic that many people have an overly narrow view of, know little about, or have a surprising thesis. So obviously, I chose the topic of paintball. Especially considering my career counselor had never even HEARD of it... . Anyway, I need some help with proof of some statistics, and figured since AO rocks so much, maybe you guys can help me out. What I was looking for include a source stating how many units behind SP was in the first 24 hours or so of releasing the ION (I know it was really big, but I need some proof...), about how many people are involved in paintballing nation or worldwide, how much money the paintball industry takes in to date, and in general, any facts that would surprise an ignorant (or even semi-knowledgeable) person reading this paper. I don't know if you can help, but if anyone can, it's the ppl on AO... Thanks!

here's what I would do:
call SP and tell them you are writing a report and ask thems for those approximate numbers

call pb2x(the magazine) and ask them your other statistics, they have a page of just numbers in paintball, they will probably be able to help you out with that and more.

i'd call elias sports...i thikn they do stats on paintball like what you want.

also talk to BIll Mills of Warpig...he might be able to help!
