Does anybody know where to get a SCBA fill station. All I can find is SCUBA. Either I need the fill station or a fitting allowing me to attach my tank directly to the SCBA tank fill station. Any help would be apprieciated.

I will try to find the place I bought my fitting from.
are you filling off the scba compressor or the scba bottle?
I have a fitting made for filling off the compressor thats just the male end and it reduces down to the quick disconnect.
I also have another double female so I can fill off of are scba bottles."The Few Who Do Are The Envy Of The Many Who Only Stand And Watch"

If your filling to 4.5k make sure the fittings your using are rated for it.
I've got adapters for both the compressor and off the SCBA tank and both are heavy stainless.
You could try PM'ing akscubainst, he's the one that made the adapters for me but I haven't seen him on in a long while.Comment

Thanks for the help guys.
EDIT:My dad has the training and whatnot to work with the regs and take them off. I couldn't remember if the regs on nitro tanks were loktighted in place or not. If so what type of loktite is it. And what is the yearly I need to send off to get my nitro tested. I'm pretty sure it's 3 years right.
Another thing. How gentle must you be when removing the reg. The way we do it with the steel/carbon fiber wrapped tanks is pad a vice with a few towels and not lock it down too tight. Is this enough protection for my tank or do I need a rubber strap wrench to be extra gentle.Last edited by buzzboy; 10-12-2005, 05:49 PM.Comment

Still need more help. Wimag sent me to http://www.max-air.com/index.html . I have no clue what to look for there. Also I found out that I have two ways to go. First off, I can get a male adapter with SCBA threads and a female quick disconect to attach to that. The other way is to take off the female SCBA adapter and get a larger sized male quick disconect that attaches to the compressor. Which way would be easier?.....cost more?
EDIT:I looked at the site and I think what I am looking for is item #25. It is
CGA 347 Stainless steel adapter 1/4" pipe
I really don't know please help me.Last edited by buzzboy; 10-14-2005, 07:17 PM.Comment

I was looking to fill directly off the compressor but filling off the bottle would work too. Which ever's easiest.
