I'm not a big cocker fan , but i think the 05 Black Magic is basically 'Turtled' but not to an extreme like some check it out at paintballgear.com

Pretty nice for a stock cocker -
it's what many would call a midblock. it has a little bit more of the body and instead of an actual back block it has a sled that rides between the bolt and body.
compared to most halfblocks out there i'd say that this is rather ugly, i like that they tried to make it flow more than a regular halfblock but their execution of the idea is terrible. but that's just me.
the other main reason i think they went with a longer "midblock" rather than a shorter halfblock design is that they probably didn't want to draw any heat from palmer.
