    What happens to old Markers...

I was just thinking, What do people do with old markers? I mean, usually you sell it when you done, or put it in a collection, but what about the markers that just get so messed up you can't even sell them? It'd be to awkward just to send it into a garbage bag and say goodbye...

Even brass eagle talons and the like, plastic goodness...Wouldn't you feel kinda weird about throwing it in the garbage ( or recycling for that matter )

i bought a Zap zxs200 just to mess around with. i made a custom o-ring detent and choped the barrel and dremmeled it out so i could slide another barrel inside. it shot alright, except after the barrel mod, it shot maybe 120 fps.

i got so tired of the crappyness of it, and threw it out. and even then, i didn't feel right doing so.

I have a pile of things that were " thrown out " , most were more or less left behind.. but one M98 was thrown out and the same with a sting ray.. both work quite fine..

          I know how you feel...

I hate throwing old paintball gear out! My house is where it comes to die I'm pretty sure. I don't think I've thrown anything paintball away in my life. I was cleaning my office out the other day and found a paper bag full of Tippmann SMG-68 stripper clips and that was just the beginning. A PGP, a 150 round Indian Springs hopper, the box my first EMag came in, my Phantom pump, enough photographs of paintball to blackmail everyone with any kind of career in the game, it's amazing. I need to rent a storage space...

All the paintball guns I've had since I don't know when are all laying around the house too.

If its Palmers stuff, its coveted by a most rare breed... with large pockets. I still have my Tippman Pro-Carbine from '95, thats as far back as I go.

I still have my Sheridan rifle circa 1988. It still works great. This is before the kp3 or whatever it was.

lol i cant throw annything away. ill find some use for it... the old case of paint ( just the box) you can turn inside out and it makes a good box to ship stuff in. geez i cant even throw away the spyder barrel thats about 6 years old and the threads are screwed up and i dont even own a spyder. matter of fact i have never owned a spyder... where the heck did this barrel come from? wierd... i cant even throw away other peoples paintball stuff.

and i still have my z grip... im never selling that, even when im out of paintball (ha like that will happen)

Over the 12 years I've been playing, I actually haven't accumulated much stuff. I've had a lot of stuff, but it somehow seems to top off at a certain point--kind of like breaking even. I don't even know where it all has gone. I DO know, however, that I've never thrown any of it away--that would be blasphemous!

I've never had a marker that totally stopped functioning, so I have always been able to sell or give them away. Another optioni which I have not yet taken is the auction box. Our club raises much of it's operating money from our annual auction at the AGM. There are usually several markers which someone else is always willing to grab for a collection, as a spare or as a loaner.

they go to live on a farm where they will be taken care of and loved forever by the farmer's family and all of the other markers.
