    Frustrating 'Mag Repair Question... (HELP!!!)

Hey guys I wanna see if you guys can help me out with this... I bought a Hyperframe and a 'mag this past summer and it actually bolted right onto my 'mag and shot perfectly (no adjustments needed to made at all!). It has preformed flawlessly until this past Saturday. I played all day and it worked great. I was playing Xball and was in the front of the snake when my backman behind me did a crappy snapshot that caught my gas-thru grip barely missing my hand (not to mention the back of my head or shoulder) . I was no big deal, but the paint got all over my 'mag so I had to disassemble it to make sure everything was fully clean and free from any paint that leaked b/n the body and rail.

I always disassemble my marker after every time I play so it was nothing new, but when I reassembled the 'mag and dry fired it to make sure everything was sound... nothing happened . The Hyperframe works perfectly (the noid is popping the sear and working great) I can hear it when I pull the trigger, but now when I air up my 'mag the valve leaks and the bolt is locked (possibly the on/off leaking). I'm totally confused and frustrated b/c my 'mag that was working flawlessly has decided to just stop... suddenly. I'm thinking that maybe I bent the sear or maybe the ULT on/off pin when I removed the Xvalve and rail for cleaning, but I removed both and neither looks warped or outta wack at all. I can stick an allen wrench in the sear hole on the back of the Hyperframe and push the sear, thus firing the marker. But for some reason the Hyperframe doesn't seem to be pushing the sear hard enough or something. I don't think it's the shims in the on/off b/c before everything worked perfectly before, so I don't wanna mess with that. I convinced that I must have somehow messed up my ULT on/off; because I put on my old carbon fiber mech frame to eliminate the Hyperframe variable and it was messed up too (It too worked great before). I had to hold the trigger to keep it from firing! If I released it the 'mag fired full-auto which assured me that it wasn't the HF acting up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm at my whits end and really pissed because before Saturday night I had an excellent example of a 'mag that kept up with any high-end electro marker out there ... I really don't wanna drop another $50 or so bucks for a ULT on/off if I don't have to, and physically nothing appears wrong with the one I have. Again, please help me out with any info you guys might have to the source of the problem or if any of you have had a similar ordeal w/ your 'mag let me know how you fixed it. (Sorry for the long thread, but I wanted to make sure I covered all the details of the problem.)

    *My current set-up for reference:

    ULE warp-left body
    Warp-feed 12v intellifeed
    Hyperframe (20 bps)
RT rail drilled w/ mounted gas-thru
    ULT on/off
    X-Valve
    LX bolt
    PMI 68/5k

(Again everything was working great for the past few months, believe me I spent about a week playing around w/ different LX bolt shims and ULT shims until I found the right combo that worked flawlessly. My question is what did I do to screw everything up??? )

When you put the mech frame on and fire, it goes full auto? It does not stop when you release the trigger?

Whe I put the mech frame on it's okay until I pull the trigger and release. Then it continues to fire even if the trigger isn't pulled... If you pull the trigger and hold it the gun stops firing until the trigger is released (I know, that's f---ed up right?!? ). I was able to fire a couple single shots, but then it would go crazy again. I also forgot to menting that the HF will fire 2-3 times before locking up, and if I push the safety on and off a few times I can fire the HF for 2-3 shots before it locks up again. It seems like something is wrong w/ the sear or ULT on/off, but like I said earlier neither looks bent or warped (the o-rings on the ULT are in good shape too).

Check your sear and bolt, the Hyperframe's solenoid does not provide the same force as an emag solenoid and because of this it was known to round out and sometimes take chunks out of the part that "catches" the lip of the bolt...because of this it can also mess your bolt up too, especially the LX bolt since it's aluminum.

aside from that...I know you said that you checked the on/off but it sounds like the on/off, maybe it is not seated properly, or needs some lube. If you check that and it still acts up I'd pull a shim or two out just to eliminate the on/off as a problem.

The bolt and sear look good (no chipping of the bolt). The on/off is seated well and I have oiled it well, but not too much. I don't think it's the shims b/c before it worked great. I'll try removing one or two shims. We'll see what happens... thanks for the help. If anyone else has any advice please post.

LX bolt is stailess steel, not aluminum.

sounds to me like you need to remove some shims from the ult.

Yeah, I'm gonna try that. It just doesn't make any sense b/c I didn't change anything on the marker... all I did was clean it. Is maintaining the ULT something that has to be done on a regular basis (by that I mean having to change the number of shims every once n' awhile even if the marker has not undergone any mechanical changes such as upgrades or anything that would change the internal balance.). Thanks for the help guys . Sorry I'm fairly new to 'mags (I've only had mine for about 6 months and it's my first so I'm learning the ropes (I was formerly a 'cocker owner so don't hold that against me ). I got out of PB for 4 yrs and came back to find the sport controlled by electros lol.

I know the LX is SS and understood what he was saying about the danger of the HF chipping it (Warpig's HF review). Let's keep in mind the purpose of this thread. Thanks,

Mess with the shims in the ULT. Take 2 out and try the hyperframe again. And oil the heck out of it too.

OH, stupid question btw, but did you try a fresh battery?

Yeah, I put in a fresh 9v just to make sure and it still didn't work right.

Got the same problem with my hyperframe as well, I resorted to putting the mechanical frame back on. I ordered a new solenoid from centerflag but havent tried it out (this was a while back from what i hear they dont sell them anymore) .... You might trying going into the service mode and increasing the energy to the solenoid, see www.centflagproducts.com for the directions on how to do this.

To get into service mode, turn the frame off. Then, press both the buttons on the back at the same time. keep holding it until is says "S 00". Then adjust it to 7(thats mine..). Please try this out.. and also please share what it is currently at.

I'll definately give that a try when I get back home, I'm at college now. They won't let us have paintball markers up here (which really sucks, especially when you need to work on one). I'll let you guys know what happens when I adjust the settings. Thanks for the help,
