Intellifeeding a warp to a Hyperframe.

I read the Hyperframe FAQ about info on intellifeeding a warpfeed to the HF. I just soldered two wires (one to each HF microswitch post) and ran them to my warp. So that the warp uses the same switch as the Hyperframe board does to activate. This setup seems to work fine w/out any misfires. Is it safe to do this setup? Will it in anyway harm the board or electronics of either device? (I have the 12v mod on my warp if it matters). Thanks,
