even thugh the manual says u can use CO2 with an antisiphon tank, don't. It will cause way to many problems, and might damage your gun so bad you will have to send it in to get fixed. you can find a cheap used nitro tank at any paintball forum website check the B/S/T here

1,) a qev will help keep dirt, grease, etc out of your noid, and will allow you to lower your dwell. this lets you shoot at a lower psi and give you better effeincy

2.) Virtue, and Predator should be coming out at cup, and the dark adrenaline board will be coming out later. i think the adrenaline will be the best, but if you want one soon, go with the predator...cant go wrong with one of those.

3.) probably a little, but the general consencious has been that none of the bolts out now (lightning, orange, lucky) do enough to really be worth getting. wait a little for something really good to come out, but if you just have money to throw around...why not?

4.) DO NOT USE C02 AT ALL!

Head over to www.ionowners.com, you will find more information than here.

#1: Nothing for speed, the board controls that. However, the bolt will cycle faster, so in theory, with a faster board, it will be faster. You can also decrease your dwell, so it aids efficiency.
#2: No one knows, none have been released.
#3: If it is lighter than stock, probably.
#4: If you use CO2, use an anti-siphon and don't use ramping. You should be okay, but no guarantees it won't freeze. CO2 itself won't damage the gun, just if you get to shooting too fast and freeze the marker up and ruin some o-rings.

Also, try ION Owners Forum. You may have more luck getting answers.

The other questions have been pretty well covered, but DON'T use CO2 (ok, maybe an anti-siphon, but I still doubt it). I'm speaking from experience .

The pressure naturally fluctuates when using CO2, and when you start shooting fast (let's face it, you're gonna end up doing it even if you aren't trying to), between that and the lines freezing, they just can't take it.

Now my lines didn't actually blow off, but they leaked very noticeably afterward, so I had to replace them. Good thing they give you replacement lines with the gun . But it's still a pain, and not worth it.

I have also heard that some Ions have this problem regardless, where they start leaking out of the internal lines, b/c SP used some fairly crappy hose, but they actually put different hosing in the spare parts bag, which is supposedly slightly better, and should fix the problem. Don't know how true this is, but possible, I suppose...heck it IS SP...

actually the orange bolt is a good bolt. They dont make them anymore for Ions though, so yould have to find one used. It does help w/ air efficiency. It has extra orings on the bolt stem to seal off the dump chamber when your bolt is forward and firing. That keeps air from just flowing into the dump chamber and through the bolt continuously. Helps a bit.

I dont use the QEV cause it makes the gun louder. It exhaust air that holds the bolt back faster and causes the bolt to hit the bolt stop w/ more force increasing noise and wearing out the bumper oring faster than normal. I like it w/o the QEV cause its quieter and I like how it shoots better w/o it.

dont use CO2 no matter what. Not worth it.
