Whats a Halo with Rip Drive?

Sorry, I'm just getting back into paintball.

So this Halo thing is supposed to keep up with the electros and they're godlike speeds?

Whats a Halo B? Whats a Rip drive? Cheetah board?

And the Empire looks exactly the same, but works of sound and vibration?

The Rip drive is the piece that sticks below the shell in back to allow you to manually drive the drive cone inside should the batteries go dead, it jam, belt break, etc. It is handy to have.

A HALO uses eyes where the Empire B uses sound.

An Empire B comes stockwith the rip drive and a multi speed board.

You can get a HALO with ripdrive

You can upgrade a Halo with various boards (and I think the Empire B).

I prefer sound over eyes, I insist on having a rip drive so I use Empire Bs

They both work very well, but with the Halo(eyes) some people have trouble with certain colored paint. That problem does not exist with the Empire. I have both and would recomend either one. I have not had a problem with the eyes Except for getting paint on them so maybe I should say I lean a little towards the Empire.

The only serious problem I have seen with either one is the tendency of the drive cone to break. There are better designed replacements so no worry...
