ok my brother and me are makin a team and i am the back man due to the fact that i shoot rapidly and have a very fast trigger pull. He wants me to get a Z body so it adds more backspin to give it more rang. But the problem is that i dont kno what a z body looks like so if anyone has a pic of their gun wit a z body can u plz post it so i kno what hes tlkin about.

The problem witht he Z body is that it only works about 50% of the time. This isnt necissarily a bad thing, but for the price, it should be a lot more consistant. It takes autococker barrels, not mag ones, so that could be a plus or a minus. Also, you want to use a large bore barrel and small paint, so that it touches only the top part of the barrel.

The inconsistancy, plus the fact that it does hang over the body rail just enough to look stupid, made me choose to avoid it.

As a fellow back player, on Im assuming speedball, you should be able to arch your gun only slightly to range the whole field. You should never need to shoot from one end of the field to the other, and if you did, then move closer.

You really shouldn't get a z-body. I don't know why you would ever need to shoot that far. Clockworkmiller is right, if you really must, why not just arc it? How tall are you and how fast are you? If you're a little guy I would definetly make you take the front and stick to the center.


PS, when using a backspin system the ball does not break nearly as often as it should. It will usally end up breaking in your barrel and not on your target. Do a search, Tom told us a little about the z-body.

well im about 5'5 and i dont kno how fast i am. It dependes if im carryin any extra stuff i usually use a 6 pack harness with tubes that hold 100 paint. and i used to have to carry a HEAVY HEAVY 48ci nitro thats remoted. but i just ordered a 88ci 4500psi fiber wrapped crossfire tank. I ordred the tank today.

You get the greatest distance by making your gun very consistant so you can shoot closer to the line. For example I would set mine at 240 for a 250 game. That gives me a lot of play but I never shoot hot. If you are consistant you could shoot 247. Then you go farther than me. In speed ball you may be able to shot the course no matter what.

I would have suggested the MacDev tanks. Those are damn light and have a very high flow rate, from what I've been told.

You can lighten your load by getting a 5tube harness (ronin gear makes very comfortable ones) and dropforwarding your n2. This should balance your gun a little more. If you can run fast, then I would suggest playing front. Leave the back to us tall loud fat ****ers.
