    Warp feed Questions

Well first and foremost, I've never seen (in person) touched or gotten to toy with a warp feed. So if any of these questions are ridicoulisly stupid just let it slide and correct me.

I usually play pump and stock class, but am getting an autococker that told me it doesn't want a pump kit ... So instead I was going to possibly try out a Warp Feed system. I think I've seen it before, but does it require any special modification to run one on an autococker? Also I was just curious on how the warp feed detects when it needs to force more paint through and when it should stay idle.

Another thing I see is, when shooting off handed, players just tilt the marker, how does a gravity feed hopper feed the warp itself?

    Thanks,
    -Fox-

Go easy on me please! I tried the search function and just found warps for sale and warp feed pics.

I decided to get back into paintball this past summer (after a few years leave) and bought an RT mag' w/ a Warpfeed and Warp-left ULE mainbody off Ebay. I absolutely love my Warpfeed setup! I too had never seen or had any experience w/ one, but after playing my first few games w/ it I was totally sold . The warp has a vibration sensor (I think, correct me if I'm wrong. I never use it b/c I run an intellifeed wire...) that detects the markers firing operation and in turn spins the wheel loading paint in your marker from any angle . (make sure you buy the ProTeam Products Warpfeed if you plan on using a 'cocker w/ it, it has the vibration sensor). It should mount right up to your 'cocker just fine w/out any mods. I'm also fairly sure the vibration sensor can be adjusted to different sensitivities depending on how smooth your gun shoots. The wheel spin time can also be adjusted. When shooting on your off hand you do have to tilt to the side. I run a Halo on my warp and it does just fine when I shoot sideways (though it's usually a good idea to stop ever 20-30 shots and press the white button on the back to reload the spin wheel if your hopper is having trouble keeping up w/ it, it only takes a second to do).

The only real downside of the Warp mechanically is that it doesn't come with an on/off switch. I picked up a switch at Radioshack and a 12v regulator so I could run two 9v's instead of one (12v power spins the wheel much faster). Luke does these mods himself if you'd rather send you Warp to him instead of tinkering w/ it yourself... (www.lukescustoms.com)

It takes a little getting used to the Warpfeed, but once you get comfortable with it you'll be fine. Just be prepared to get stopped every 5 minutes by someone asking "What is that thing?!?" or "That looks like something out of Men In Black!". Of course the more experienced players on the field will dismiss it as a gimmick and if you ever get shot in the hopper... you'll never hear the end of it "So much for eliminating hopper hits haha..". Though the ball would have gogged you or hit the side of your gun anyway... Hope that helped out, sorry for ramblin'

So autocockers are talking to you now? Seems like you've been playing pump way too long

My autococker talks to me too...but the secret is that it's not actually the autococker talking...

        It's the elves....

and it's just as easy to get a warp to work with a cocker as it is a mag...

no, the elves are only with level 10, get it right neppo. Its the tiny Noob pixies in the cockers, and they whisper "Take me apart, I've got lots of pieces, i promise it will be fun, just take me apart"

People tell me that a slider fame doesn't work well with warps, but a hinge or Eblade will work well.

                    Then who has paintball Dwarves?????

I wouldn't warp and autococker or anything without a warp breach. I just don't like the hose attachment on top like that. I have seen cockers with custom warp breaches though

The Warp feed is awesome. You do have to pay attention though. If you are shooting on your side you have to turn it up and let the gravity feeder reload the warp. Be careful when you get low on paint as the warp will have balls in it but be unable to feed them w/o a stack on top.

I highly recommend the 2 battery mod. It will help it feed as quickly as it needs to keep up with faster guns. I also suggest getting Lukes drop warp adapter. It puts everything in a good placement.

Thanks for all the helpful relpys.

And cocker's have Gnomes I'm almost positive, it's what aids them in shooting farther and straighter.

Now I was planning on wirring a switch to my trigger frame so it activates at the end of the trigger pull, then putting it into a two wire plug ... and well ... plugging it in?

The grip frame is a dark autococker frame, it looks like an older angel frame, but it has LOTS of room inbetween the grips to put whatever, so it should work???

Thoughts of anyone who has done something similar to this, or thoughts in general would be appreciated.

                            Thanks!
