    First tournament, what a blast!

Well, my team and I just had our first tournament today. Considering we hadnt practiced much or ever even played all three of us together, we did well. We got 6th place out of 10 teams, but what really matters is that we had a blast. Havnt had that much fun paintballing since I made that kid cry because I shot him with my Phantom. My X-mag was being a little poopy in the first match, but I just gave a little twist on the reg, and tada, shot great. At the beginning of the day, it was kinda crazy, getting really big FPS fluxes, but just a few drops of oil, all good. It shot great, and not a single chop, and I got a new CP barrel for it.

Unfortunatly, I didnt get any pictures I couldnt find my camera. But once I can, I will see if I can get some links up to the website, once they get the pics up that is.

I wish tournaments were still fun like they used to be.

It was a rookie tournament. No big prizes, just trophies. And each person got entered into the raffle. So my front player won a Halo TSA, which he likes better than his old reloader, and I won a squeegie Hey, its better than nothing. So yah, the atmosphere was very friendly. There was one other person with a mag there, and he was super jealous of mine. The advanced ranks got a little competetive, with a little bit of shouting. But the rookies, we were nice to everyone, shaking hands, "good game" was said a few times after every game.

Oh, bummer. So maybe next time huh? I will definatly try to be there, registered under the team name Riot. If KC gets the pictures up, I should be up in there somewhere.

We had an open 3-man indoor tournament Sept. 10th. It was ugly. We had team 120 that will be playing div 1 CFOA in 2006 and at the bottom we had a couple kids with VL Orions and Triads. All in all we had 10 teams ranging from newbies to semi-pro. One of the teams quit because they were out gunned and over shot. Another team quit because the reffing sucked(which it did) and they didn't want to be a part of the slaughter on the new kids. The main ref had a son on one team and he was biased. He allowed unlimited bps because he let his son borrow his Karni with a Halo b. After the first team quit, the reffs redone the lineup giving one team all of the games that the ones that quit hadn't played. It would have been ok but they had already played those teams, and they could possably rack more points because of the extra games. If that wasn't enough 1 in 3 cases of paint had a broken ball in it and were dimpled. They also wouldn't take the paint back because "the paint left the counter". I have boycotted the place because of this tournament. Last I heard the place will go out of business in January because other teams had boycotted it also.

Sorry to hear that man, we didnt have that problem. There was one team that was using Spyders and Tippmans, and they did ok. They won a game and tied one, sure they got last, but they said that they had alot of fun, and thats really all that mattered.
