thats been known for a long time. the DM5 has it too. the DM6 doesnt.

actually the D on the DM4 is the milling around the eye cover, not the eye cover itself. The D on the DM5 is the eye cover itself.

I wouldnt max it out too much w/ bounce or ramping if I were you. Its fun to do, but it puts a lot of stress and wear on the orings and noid. Turn your eyes on if its missing shots. I know its awesome though. Its only going to get about 23bps or so, which is the maximum cycling ability of the noid. Just a side note.

I also like the stock chip too. Im thinking of putting it back in and buying the UN1 board for protos and putting my M5 chip in my proto w/ the un1 board and keeping the stock chip in the DM4. Im torn between that or flashing the stock proto board to the full 5.0 predator code for 80 bucks plus shipping, etc.
