Usually, I pick a game, before everyone is finished at the field, to spend the rest of my paint(If I decide I'm done for the day/Low on paint).

Then while everyone is finishing up all their hopperball games, I clean out my marker, re-lube it, and usually organize my crap in my bag best I can. I then wait for everyone to put all their crap in their bags and load into my car. I clean my clothing/hopper/etc usually the next day.

        -The Day Of-
Markers get broken down completely for cleaning and maintenance. Air tank is checked for hits and cleaned around the fitting, then comes the Profiler's lens and mask. That's about it apart from the occasional breakdown of the Halo do to some bad paint or something along those lines.

        -The Day After-
Pack, Gloves, Jersey, etc... Get washed, soaked, and dryed. Not to forget cleaning those nasty pod brakes.

Last week I was coaching our young guns squad and watching some games. One of the teams DM4s went down during there 1st or 2nd game, found out later that the board shorted out.

I too used to clean every inch of my equipment...the use of rubbing alcohol, q-tips, dental picks and the like was not uncommon. But now, I just don't have the time. On my Angel, I'll wipe down the outside and clean any paint out of the breach/off the bolt if necessary.

Every time I let someone use the Mag, they chop. I get tired of cleaning every inch of it to let someone play three games with it and chop half the paint they shoot. When I get home, I air it up, spray it off with the garden hose, run some KC Trouble-Free through it once it dries off, and I'm good to go.

And, like Phantomhitman said, I was tired of cleaning everything just to have it break on me anyway. The first time I took my Halo apart, I took out everything down to the drive belt and cleaned it--it took me over an hour and a half to clean it and put it back together. Then I went outside to shoot some paint, shredded a cracked ball in the loader and chopped twice. After that, I just said **** it and let it sit in my gear bag a while to learn its lesson.

I'm pretty thorough while cleaning my gear, but as of lately I've developed a system to make things quick and easy for me.

Once I get home I usually take a shower immediately and then throw all my clothes, tank cover, pack, and towels into the washer. I then take all my stuff downstairs into the "paintball room". It's just a partially finished room in the basement where I can store all my stuff. I usually wipe down my DM4 and relube the bolt with Slick Honey. Every once in a while I'll relube the HPR and LPR. I usually only wipe down my Halo since it is a PITA to take apart. Once all my stuff is washed and dried, I put it all back in my gearbag. Takes me under an hour.

Again...Used to do it everytime. I actually found out that if i clean and lube regs after everytime i play - the less consistant the gun shoots. Just wipe off outside of gun and throw it in the bag. Maybe every other outing lube the bolt, every 5 or 6 I'll do the regs.

I completely dissassemble the marker and clean everything, and relube it. I really could care less about my mask, as long as I can see... I have 2 masks and they both were given to me.
I hate when people shoot my gun, cause it takes forever to get in some spots. I really enjoy making guns run perfect. If you treat your gun like crap, more than likely it will treat you like crap I have had guns that have never broke down on me in over 4 years.

I clean all the paint off of it. Especially my mask. I ussually spend the most time on my mask. First the out side of the lense than then inside.

I ussually wipe down the outside of my gun and the breach/barrel area.

My cleaing style has changed slightly, I found this to be much better for me.

After a day of player, I dont worry to much about my jersey, I just let my girlfriend wash it when she has time, but my mags all get tore down completly, I fill the bath tub half way up and let everything soak for around 30 minutes. Yes I do let my valves soak, I put everything in their except the electronics. I take my hoppers apart and put everything but the electronics in there also. While it is all soaking, I use a wet towel to whipe clean my mask off, then get q-tips to clean in all the vents. I then use a dry towel and then set it to the side. I then start to whipe down my trigger frame, rail, foregrip, and body from one of my mags. I get all of it dried off real good and put it all together and get all the air lines on it. I take out one of the valves, whipe the outside of it down and put it in the gun, put 7 or 8 drops of oil in the asa, screw my tank in and dry fire it around 50 times. I then repeat for the rest of the valves, and then whipe and dry the rest of my great that is soaking. I then put all the guns together, tinker with it for the next week, and before I go play again I detail them with "Hi-Sheen" glass cleaner and a soft rag and q-tip and re oil them up.... Then every other month I wax my nicer guns with mothers mag and aluminum polish.

when i had a gun i liked i took super good care of it. i shot it every week for 2 years, and it looked brand new. And then for some reason, i traded it for an angel that i hate with a passion, and i cant get rid of it because no one else wants it either.

but.....i cant believe you guys wash your clothes every time you play. My gear is always relativly clean, but i wash my clothes.....maybe evey 2 months

i wash and totally clean and lube all my guns that get used that day. doesnt matter if its one or five they all get cleaned. towels, qtips, water. never tryed the canned air but that sounds good. depending on the gun i will totaly diassemble it and clean and check everything. all my equipment is spotless clean. i cant stand having dirt and paint all over my guns.

I keep my guns and Reloader spotless. The other gear I dont care about, I just make sure everything works and maybe I'll wipe it off.

the day before I play, I'll oil/grease up the parts that need it and make sure everything's put together and ready to go for the next day.

The day of, I'll wipe hits off my gear between games, sometimes just half-assed on the lense so I can get in the next game. If I have time, I'll take the lense completely out (Profiler). When I get home, my gear will *usually* go right into the washer. If there's paint in the halo, that gets cleaned out same day.

When I first started playing, I'd break down my autococker to the bare parts, oiling as I cleaned, reassembling and timing... now my Freestyle just sits there until I need it... put a drop or two of oil in the ASA, then a drop or two on the bolt and I'm good to go.
