    Cost of the Old Sydarms

What is the resell cost of the old sydarms now adays, since they came out with reissued ones, what is the cost to sell/find the old sydarms, before the sale of the reissue, i bought my sydarm 472 for $700, is it still kinda worth that or not?

    heres a picture of it.

i was also told that the hand polish to the body is original. is that rare or not. i thought they came in blastpowder coat?

and another thing, should i keep it or test the waters of trading it for something else?

You luck son of your mom. I hate you. Nice looking sydarm. Wish I had one. I would say its still worth a pretty penny maybe even more. I really don't know though.

Sadly you will only pull down a good price from a true collector. With the re-issue it kind of dinged the market value of the older sydarms for general sales.

AGD was still selling them new a couple of months ago, not sure if they still are. $300 with holster if I recall correctly. The last time I was at my local paintball store he still had 2 of them sitting there, brand new end of the line ... in fact, AGD told him they were the *very* last 2.

So, $300 - $400 would be my guess too.

It sucks but you're not going to get the average person to pay more just because of its collector value. Now if you could find the right collector......

Ok, you do have a rare one there.

There were only a few original polished body Sydarms out there. These guns were actually stolen by an ex-AGD employee and sold. I don't know the number for sure, but I bet there are less than 10 out there.

Now the question, what is it worth. Well, seeing as now days it's "just a Sydarm" the $350 range seems fair. I know, you are kicking and screaming because you paid $700 for it X number of years ago. I did the same thing when AGD re-released the Sydarm to the public. At the time I took a lot of flack for my complaining, so I will not get back into that.

One way you can tell an original from a newer Sydarm is the rear "V" sight. The originals had them, the new ones don't.

If you ever want to sell it, you may start at someplace like mcarterbrown.com . They will usually give you a fair deal and have the folks most interested in it anyways. But from what I have seen, Sydarms are not that sought after.

does anyone have a picture comparison of the 2 sights?

I have #715 with a polished body, and classic rail, and just want to know if this happens to be one of the rare ones.

Hmm, with a serial number that high I would almost have to think it's newer. It's very easy to tell, is there a back "V" sight? If not, it's new.
