Paintball Speech

Hey guys & gals of AO,
I have to give a four minute speech on any topic for school. I want it to be about some aspect of paintball (it's always on my mind so it should be easy
). My question for you is, What should my topic be? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

How about, what is paintball....state some major misconceptions and put those misconceptions to rest with the class. I am sure theres enough data in that topic to talk for 4 minutes, and you know VERY highly of it...so just use that

Or aside from the who's and what's, Give a speech about your first time playing, the feelings running through your body, the fears, adrenaline rush. The good stuff you recall from yer inuaguration into the sport. I'm sure it'll be much longer than 4 minutes.

That's kinda my problem, it has to be within like 15 seconds of four minutes so I need to narrow i down a little.

Talk about what is paintball, the biggest misconception, which is, its a war game. Then talk about how its just tag with paintballs that dont hurt as bad as people say, format that into 4 mins, it can be done

Yes, give a speech on the misconceptions of paintball, and describe how our sport is really played. I, myself, wrote an article for my school newspaper, and it got in! It has the possibility of reaching over 4000 parents, administrators, and classmates! If you guys ever get the chance to do something like this, DO IT! Our sport is in need of help, because the media is tearing it apart.

I did a 10 minute presentation on paintball... just rambling... I ran out of time.

4 minutes FLIES by... I'd just give a quick blurb to get people interested in the sport. Tell them what it's about, how it's safe, anybody can play... ridiculous fun.

I would not go into detail with the equipment, you'll run out of time.

Bring a visual aid... maybe paintballs... pictures of players/equipment than you can show while you're talking.

Don't bring in any equipment though... A mask would be ok...

man i wish i was into paintball when i was in school. i could talk forever about paintball. and i remember quite a few class representations on reports that we had to do. not to mention i could never figure out what to base those reports on. if only i knew.....

bring a BE mask or a mask lens and a hammer and show how hard it is to crack a mask, and show how safe it is, and also tell them that paintball is a misunderstood sport, and stuff like that..
also bring a paintball or two, one to squish with you bare hands, and one to pass around or somthing. that will show them that the object is not hard, and even though it is flung at high speeds, it is easily broken.

Bring your pack and mask, and use your hand like a marker, and run around pretending to play, using desks as bunkers . "Get that guy on the back left desk! Quick quick! Bunker him! ahhhhh, coverfire! Cover fire!, theres someone in the front right desk!" lol , then just keep sliding into the other "bunkers"...lol yup

IMO, u shouldnt do a speech about paintball at all, unless its a speech about a certain sport, (not a hobby) cause you'll be considered a loser (its true) by the other students if they dont know what paintball is, to many people, paintball is a sport that "rednecks" play and its not cool to them...but thats how we feel about it in new york city anyways, this happened to me, and i felt embarrassed, then i kicked the kid's asses who made fun of me and that was the end of it :P
