    ACI Bulldog Tanks/Regs - Disadvantages?

Are there any disadvantages to using a bulldog regulator instead of say... pmi regs or crossfire regs on your tank? I heard that the aci regulators don't recharge fast enough for some of the higher end markers. Is this true?

the crossfire regs are supposed to have very good recharge rates, dont know about the pmi or the aci.

I have an ACI Bulldog III. I have never had a problem with it as far as leaking goes. I have not had the ability to test it under high rates of fire, but will soon.

If they are the same cost, go with Crossfire. It's a better tank all around.

If it's for a mag I would go with PMI. Has about the same recharge rate as Crossfire but the output pressure is 850 vs. 800 for the Crossfire. I have owned 2 ACI tanks. Neither were the III model but I never had any problem wiht them.

same here, I have an ACI and it has never given me a problem and worked quite well. I asked the same question to a pro at his shop and when I was looking at the nerve shockers I asked the same question, he said "even though it dosn't really have the fastest recharge rate, very rarely will any marker out shoot the recharge rate unless you are unloading an entire hopper straight threw with out stopping and maxing the bps on the marker."

Definately extra lube. I keep two bottles at all times. Can't leave home w/o your lubricant.

The newer ACI regs will be able to keep up, however I have had problems with the older ACI regs... best regs I have found out there would be the crossfire, agd flatline and WGP adjustable.... PMI's are pretty decent, just have had problems w/ the nipple orings on the couple I have had...

The good thing about the ACI regs is that they are rebuildable. Most other preset regulators cant be taken apart. I have bulldog III, and its worked great.
