What 3 freak inserts do you use the most?

I'm looking to buy three more inserts because all I have is a .689, so which sizes get used the most. I'd hate to buy a kit and have a bunch I dont use. Fire away, I'm thinking about a new Carbon Deadlywind barrel.

If you're using an open bolt gun, just get a .693 or a .695 and you should be good to go; you don't really need to match paint and it helps to go slightly larger in case you get a ball shaped like a melon.

If you already have .689 (medium) and you want to get 3 more, these are the 3 I'd get:

.684 - small
.687 - small/medium
.693 - big

If I had to pick three I would pick .689 for the vast majority of uses
.695 for those really bad days
.683 for those really bad days on the other end

I used 4 inserts the whole time Iv'e had my freak kit. I use the Blue, Green ,and Gold insets most of the time. Used the Red one once.

The only marker it has made a huge difference for was the cocker to keep balls from rolling out the barrel. Anything else and I use a big bore to reduce barrel breaks.

There were a couple days where I had to use the 679(silver) cause the paint was just so small. But I can say that I have been able to use all of my inserts at least three times.

not going by freak inserts since i dont have a kit, but, if i had to only have 3, i would take a .685, .689, .693 will handle any paint

Mostly a .693 or .689 rarely do I ever get paint smaller or bigger than that. On my Mag I'll run either a .689 CP One Piece or a .691 Signature series Long Shot.

Admittedly I'm not huge on matching paint like some other people I play with (who I think over match their paint but that's them) I'll use the largest bore barrel that 10 balls won't roll through.

I was thinking exactly what everyone has said, one bigger than .689 and one smaller. I have only shot evil paint the last three years but may try something new when my Karta Mag gets hear. My MicroMag shots that evil very well with the old stainless Taso barrel. I can't wait to shoot the DEADLYWIND barrel, I'll give a review when it all come together. Thanks for the replies. Anthony

I use the .689 (blue) almost exclusively. You only need the blue, green, silver, gold, inserts.
