    ATTN manike: mask fan

The pics to your mask fan are no longer visible.

How much cfm could those fans move? I found these fans that move 3CFM.

I'm thinking of getting 2 25mm fans wired in series to a 9v, which I have no clue to where I am going to mount it. On top of that, I need to mount some FRS hardware. Mask is going to get heavy.

i dont think the hardware/cpu type fans will work..

theyr usualy big(compared to most mask fans), and your gonna have to remove the ehatsink bottom part(some are built into the fan)

just some things to think about.

im curious why your doing this though, are you a VERY heavy breather?

I'm looking at getting 25mmx25mm fans. They are pretty darn small.

My Vforce lenses aren't as fog-resisitant as advertised. They should make dual pane thermal lens for them.

        You should try other masks.

          I agree!

It's been a long time since I made that V-force fan system. I believe those fans you linked to will work though.

Seems that all my pictures hosted on AO have been lost. shame.

the problem i had when wearing my old vforce shield, was that my glasses still fogged, not the mask lens itself. i would have loved to have a fan to counter that.

i switched to pro flex's so i could have a fan.

            Florida peeps...step up!!

Even my Flex-7 fogs up on me.

I'd rather strap on some fans than have to buy a new mask. Besides, I think most other masks are fugly.

I just took the AAA out of my fan than modified it so a 9v could power it. Worked great than I got a new mask.

I installed a radioshack, CPU fan on the top of my JT mask many years ago and mounted the 9V on the from of the mask were your nose is, it made the mask really heavy, but it worked wonders.

Then I got a thermal mask and never looked back.

Obviously except the new Vents which are just beautiful! and will be coming with one heck of a fan system.... once I finished designing and testing it.

I pulled a heatsink/fan out of a dead laptop and mounted in my V-force Morph. since the fan blows air through a side discharge, it works great to get the flow going though the side of the lense between the mask and the foam.

It's a bit loud but it's only there to defog my glasses. The mask itself never fogs. I just turn the fan on long enough to defog.

I did the same, but used two fans and mounted the battery inside the mask under my ear. It worked great. Alot better than the fans they make today.

It will be coming STOCK with a fan?

I dont' know... It's got great features, but the Avatar just doesn't do it for me.

Are there any actions shots of it anywhere? WARPIG only had close-up shots of its features.

Nope it won't come with a fan as stock. It will be an accessory. I haven't quite finished it yet, but I'm working on it and have been testing prototypes in the field.
