Too much...I do usually spend quite a bit at Christmas time but we are doing things a bit different this year. This year my wife and I are buying nothing for one another. Instead we adopted a family of 6 for Christmas who do not have the money for a nice Christmas. A local post office has the carriers make a list of families in need (mail carriers know everybody!). So we selected a family that has their father overseas in the military and wife and 4 kids at home.

I'm a bad son/brother/grandson/nephew/etc. The only person I get a gift for is my gf hahaha. Yes, I am a practical thinker. My family will still love me if I don't give them anything. They're stuck with me. And I guess my gf will still love me too, but getting her something shiny also yields much better than a "oh thank you son what a wonderful gift". Hehehehe, it's true and you all know it damnit!

I'm pretty darn good in ceramics, all I have to pay is my school's $60 per semester lab fee and voila-all the gifts I need.

It didn't cost a thing... Now when you say "including gifts that you buy yourself do you mean that? Or do you mean gifts that you buy for yourself. Because the first way it makes no sense.

i usaly spend 20-25 per family member , bout 120 on my gf , and like 400 on myserlf , this year i bought myself a psp and a mosin nagant and some other stuff
