hahaha monkeys, theres plenty of those over here I will pack a few in a box and ship them over to you

Get your team a few pod *****es train them to pick up reballs and pod them as well. Then let them shoot a hopper every now and then to keep them smiling. You would be amazed how many 10 year old we have hovering around my home field cause they cant afford to play. Luckily theres not as many rich daddy's over here.

I agree witht he leaf blower, but that depends on the surface you have on your feild. But I really think you should try an elephant or two. They can blow them to a corner and then suck them up after.

The field by me uses a 5' section of PVC pipe, that is cut in half, with a hand attached so it's like a shop broom. Sweep them against a wall and then tilt the handle down, lift up the "reball broom" and poor them into a bucket.

get some 5" pvc pipe and dig a trench around the outside edge of your field, cut the pvc pipe in half and lay it in the trench, then fill it in so the pvc pipe is even with the top of the ground. Once you are done playing use a shop broom to sweep all the balls into the trench and then move them around the trench so they are all together and either pick them up by hand or use a shop vac.

                btw, nice field!

To get a little off topic... How's the Reball field working out for you guys? Obviously you call hits when you know you're hit (no sense cheating, especially during team practice), but does it seem like people miss hits? Can you catch a couple off the hopper without knowing it, for example? Are there times when you get hit and feel like it would have bounced off had it been a paintball, but called it anyway because it was a Reball and there wasn't anything to break? Do they fly the same, or do your shot groupings change depending on whether your using Reballs or real paint? How's the weight and hardness of the balls compare to paintballs?

Obviously the "real thing" is always best for training - for instance, you'll get more out of swordmanship training if you use a real metal sword, but wood is often substitued because it's safer, easier and cheaper, and people feel that the difference between the "real" and "fake" swords is small enough that it justifies the larger gains. Is it the same way with Reballs, or do you feel like the convience of them is too little gain for the price of not shooting real paint? Oh, and once you figure out a good way to clean them all up, how does the clean up time compare to the playing time you get?

Yeah, sorry for the thread hijack and the huge amount of questions... Never messed around with Reballs myself, though, and I'm kinda curious.

How about using "hey baby, what's your sign", or other suitable pickup line?

the pvc thing has worked well. So does a modded leaf blower, shop brooms, or if its a big field...modded riding mower.

just curious on the whole reball thing.

i had never heard or seen them b4 till this post and was pondering the use of the balls. Evidentally they arent gelatin and dont break, hence being reusable.

big thing being safety. when a paintball hits, the energy and force of the ball is spread out and dispersed when it breaks and splats against say the gogs. now take all that same energy and force and it doesnt break on the lens...and all of that energy hits the lens and doesnt disperse. is there a safety issue with that energy being more detrimental to the integrity of the mask lens, or even more simply it always seemed to me that a bounce hurt more than a break. could reballs injure the body moreso from non breakage? =p

anyways, anyone got some factoids on energy dispersement or whatever science is relative to this question? chuckle

                            kind of interesting

                              thanks Arstron for the compliment.

sorry it took me so long to repost, was at work all day, and forgot to use my treo.

ThePixelGuru: the feild is great when the team cant find time or money to go to the feild to play. all of us are in school so yeah, both of those are lacking.... the big problem i have found is that the reballs will bounce of stuff behind you and hit you pretty hard, almost like a hit. I have had a lot of those, and called myself out but then went back to think about it and realized that i was behind a bunker and couldnt of got hit where i did.but oh well. other than that, if you dont have allot of reballs, you pick up more than you play...... but it realy does wonders on snap shooting , moving, and alot of stuff. true you dont get the same affect as a real game, feild, paint senario;but it is close enoph to really worth it.

I thought of that pvc one, but how would you cut the pvc in half. i mean with what.

thanks all for the thoughts, and keep the ?'s coming. i dont mind answering.
