    My new (to me) Viking

I just bought an 04 FSP Viking. The frame and trigger guard have been milled and it has quad detents. It has a WAS 2.0 board. It is annoed gloss forest green. I think it is beautiful.

I took it out today and shot it, all I can say is WOW!! It is awsome. Makes my Karta E-Mag look kind of slow. At least until I get my Predator drop in board for it. I really do like my Mag. I am not thrilled with how much air it takes. I play a lot of woods ball and have scuba tanks. I always have to fill my tank after every game with my mag. Forget about it if I have to hike in somewhere to play.

I look forward to being able to shoot a case of paint off of a full fill. I am almost toying with the idea of selling my Mag. It truly is one of the nicest mags around. It has the 05 ULE Karta rail and body, ULE frame, Tunablade trigger and Tunapack, clamping feedneck, ect.

I have been playing since 93 or so and I have only run a Mag since about 96. I almost feel a little guilty straying from my Mag. I wonder if I should keep it or sell/trade for a mechanical mag.

Anyway, I truly am impressed with my new Viking. It is not heavy, looks super, and shoots sooooo fast. I guess there is no point to this thread just sharing a little.

Viks are super easy to shoot. Other than cockers and mags, most guns dont have a really substantial learning curve to master.

I've seen the FS thread where he got it from Vtpitbull/Next. Its a stunner. Though I'm partial to green too.

I was in the same boat as you. Picked up a Viking (now an Excalibur), and had to sell the Emag to cut down on markers. If you can afford to keep the emag, by all means. A nicely broken in and tuned emag will always shoot nice and not give you problems. Makes for a fab backup and loaner too. Though you could downgrade to mech if you don't want the emag to get all scratched up if it only gets used as a loaner. My Emag was unanodized as a Chord body so it could get beat up a little by friends without much fuss.

You can do what ever you want with your Emag but If I were you I'd keep it.
I can imagine later on those will be relics...
Also you always need a nice back up. Then you said about a mech mag...well hell the Emag is a mech mag! Keep it and stick to your roots.
I'll have to take it out to dinner and a movie first. Will it go see AVP? - Halliday On "Will you date my valve?"

Another one has been converted. As is the AKA "tradition", it is required to post pictures of your new found Viking.

No more worrying about changing Level 10 o-rings or worrying about your tank lasting you the next game. 1 fill and you're good for the day.

Edit- Oops, I see you already posted a picture. Looks great.
Hey, look at that! It's Santa!

I love my 04 viking with sticky grips, best frame i have felt to date. Do you know where to get that type of snatch grip by the way?

Here are a few more pics. I still need to have the mag annoed. I just put the ULE Karta rail on it. I am waiting until I have the eyes installed.
