    I guess I had a L7, not a L6, I bought mine in 1992.(well, it was a Christmas gift, from my ex fiance. Well, she's an ex now, but not then)

      Level 5 was the first version to be released. There were sub-versions (5.1, 5.2, etc.), and AGD offered a free upgrade to level 6 if you sent in your valve.

      WARPED1 - If the powertube has a clip holding it in place, it's level 6. If the powertube is non-removable (welded/soldered in place) it's level 7.

      The year the gun was purchased doesn't necessarily denote the level as the gun could have been sitting on the shelf in the shop for a few months (like buying say, an 05 Speed - you can still get them new, and it was purchased in 2006, but it's not the current model).
