    Cool old cocker on ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.com/old-school-autoc...QQcmdZViewItem

Found this auction while looking for a gun to tinker with. Anyone know anything about that type of cocker?

That's not a cocker. It's a tracer or similar pump with an autotracer kit on it.

Really not a cocker. Very neat looking none the less, but not a cocker.

Just sayin what it really is. The guy either doesn't know what he has or he's a scammer. I'm guessing he probably actually thinks it's an autococker. Those things are rare, it's a pretty good price for an autotracer. I'd buy it if I had the time/energy/money to restore it.

It says it is an AutoTrracer. Trracer with a WGP kit on it.

I'd need a closer picture, but that definatley looks like a Trracer with an autococking kit. It was a great alternative to buying an entire gun if you already had the Trracer...at least back in 1996.

Right, but the seller didn't say it, a possible bidder informed him of it. I would have but ebay suspended my account indefinitely. I've had some... "disagreements" with them over their billing practices. I tend to get pissed off when a company bills me for something I didn't ask for or purchase.

Chris, I'd still love to own one of those. It's like a single tube cocker. With an Eblade or Race... woah!

To be honest, unless you want it for the novelty, it wouldn't really be that much fun. The cockers back then had a tendency to blow hoses quite often (this due to a poor LPR). These kits weren't much different. My best friend purchased an autococking kit for his trracer, while I picked up the automag. He spent a hell of a lot more time trying to get his gun working than he did playing.

It is pretty cool to see one come up though.

An autotraccer with an eblade does not sound like a good idea. Cool, yes, but you could count the BPS on your fingers, and a 40$ Trraccer does not deserve a 200$ frame.

It's either an AutoTrracer or a Trracer with a Chameleon kit. The kits were manufactured by WGP (and other companies) a number of years ago as a way to convert most Nelson-based pumps into closed-bolt semis. The kit included a grip frame (as the stock grip frame allowed for no way to actuate a 3-way without machining), pneumatics, and mounting hardware. I've heard mixed reviews about them, and it's somewhat rare to see a working example in good condition.

Made in USA - it matters.
