AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
That's a very broad question, if you go with a pump you should check out www.stockclasspaintball.com (especially the message board part). If you want a cheap mech i would say a piranha(i don't like kingman for some reason) or a tippmann 98 if you can get one for that cheap.
i said get a classic mag on ebay, sometimes they go for around 70. fun starter gun, good quality. something like a spyder/pirahna/tippman 98 would work as well.
It all depends on what you want. There is a huge difference in playing with a pump VS even a slow firing semi. Both are a lot of fun though. But if you pick a marker that does not fit your style or actual needs it is a bad investment no matter how little you put into it.
Have you played with a pump? If not, I suggest you try it first. It is not for everyone.
Then you can better determine what category of marker you should look into getting. And as folks have stated, if you look around you can get either a low cost pump OR semi if you look for used ones.
the spyder victors are pretty good low budget guns. I had one when I came back into paintball before I got a mag and I had no problems with it. Shot a whole case through it and no breaks. Tons of them for sale on ebay too. I've seen packages for 60-70$. I've also seen mags go on ebay for 50-70$ so if u want one of those take ur time and shop. Read feedback on the person you are buying from to make sure they didn't have repeated bad deals.
