    Hi... Im new here.

Well, not really but Im sure most of the people here don't know who I am. I represent the dinosaur age of automags.org. Back when this site was a private site owned by an enthusiast like you and me.

I took a long hiatus from paintball for a while then I came back for a little bit then I went on another hiatus. I am not involved in paintball as much as I used to be but I do enjoy the game in my spare time.

I see alot has changed both here and in the industry. I have always known and hoped paintball would become mainstream as it has. But not in the way I ever thought it would. The roots of the sport are receeding... the people who started the industry back when the game was just a novelty, are begining to be forgotten... Nowhere to be found under the haze of flashy cookie cutter guns banged out like copies of microsoft windows. Nowhere to be found the little guy making truely custom works trying to make it in a jungle of corprate lions, nowhere to be found the game as it used to be. Alas that is another discussion.

Im back... for now enjoying the viceral essence of the game as it once was. Questions?... ask away I know or more (or less) than you think I know... Just another peon playing the game.

            Nothin much,

Still automaggin as usual. Still got my custom RTPRO and a buttload of other ods and ends in the basement. Probably 95 percent of parts of 2 guns that need a few odds and ends to make them work. I thought about selling them or making them complete guns then selling them but I decided that I would keep a peice of history here, at least for now. Ill probably assemble them and have them just to tinker with. Or maybe finish up my morlocked hyperframed mag that I started out of novelty back in the "e-magnum" days. But thats not a priority.

Butterfingers - I'm actually new here (lol), but know where you're coming from.
Maybe you're a bit bored (no offense now) with that fast-shooter and some of the strategies, if you will, that go with that genre of paintball.(?) Ever shoot stock class? Every time I do, I can't help but remember when a PGP, or SL68 was a good rental gun [Angel knows ]. Though I must admit that a change, or different option, is always nice; why I'm here educating myself in the forums, before I dive into the AutoMag world...

Well its not really boring its diffrent in a weird way if that makes sense. Ever since some of my feilds are more "liberal" with NXL "rules" and allow ramping the game has become kinda pointless. It basicly involves dumping as much paint as you possibly can and trying not to get hit. I can easily exceed the ROF of the "ramping guns" with my RTP with bounce so its not a problem.

Its fun and exciting yes but when playing rec it really involves no stategy or thinking. If you are in an organized team I guess you do have a strategy but when playing walkon its basicly dump as much paint without getting hit. Its just chaos, exciting yes, stimulating not really.

I might get into stock class bring back some individual strategy...

Speaking of your RT, didnt you have some little device under wraps way back when that you said would make RTs bounce without the heavy amount of wear? I dunno maybe I'm going crazy..

I was working on somthing but it never panned out it would cost too much to make. I decided, when setup right, the orignal on/off bounces fine and "ethically" it would make it too easy to cheat. I know bounce inst exactly illegal anymore and there really arent any "ethics" in paintball but producing my own on/off assembly would still be too much trouble and I couldnt afford the initial investment.

It basicly was a redesigned on/off that would have a ULT pull and the original RT return which would mean a drunken monkey would easily be able to bounce the gun.

It was just a thought that never went past a drawing on a peice of paper.

Also Guys, Butters was the origional speed demon of mags, with his e-magnum proving e-mags can and will cycle past 30 cps, also we must be reminded of the 20+ cps custom rtp if i remember correctly.
