    What are some reliable markers?

Okay here's my question, what are some of the most reliable markers out there for electro's. Preferably cheap electro's that I could buy used under $500. I know mags are reliable but I want to open up my options.
Are timmy's very reliable? Do they blow noids a lot or is user error and what guns require the least amount of maintenance, besides a mag?

under 500,cyborgs,dm3's and 4's,dm3 u can deffinetly get for under 500 the other 2 will be around that i guess 04 cyborgs go for about 500..not really sure havent looked at them in awhile..but yea those are some reliable guns
everyone i know who has owned a timmy has told me they had it appart more then together, they are very comfortable guns but im told they arent very reliable.

Solenoids arent easy to blow, unless you are a moron so i wouldnt worry about that to much.

Oh and AKA guns i am told are very reliable electros.

    goodluck with whatever you get

i would say angel speeds. based purely on the fact that i've never seen one go down. and i play every week with a couple of guys who have them.

timmies are pretty reliable... up until the membrane pad dies out... or you start messing with the board...

i HATE maintaining shockers... mainly cos of how the solenoid is connected to the body and how easy it its to damage the circuits/wires when taking the thing apart. when they work tho, they work great. and take a bit of a beating too. so if it works, then don't mess with it!

impulses are ok. just be careful when you put the bolt pin back in. also, again be careful with the board/wiring when you take it apart (SP... meh)

ecockers are also very reliable. and even if the do go down, they're so easy to fix.

of course mags are indestructable but you knew that.

well these are just the markers i've had personal experience maintaining.

Depends on what you are looking for. Electro go Shocker, for mech. get a mag, go to www.themagsmith.com and look under the custom marker. I think you can fit the silver package into your budget. Reliability wise, I have 2 shockers no problems and a RPG Paradigm that is great. The only problems I had with any of my guns ( 1 w/ a shocker and 1 w/ the RPG) was when I did something stupid and both guns were repaired ( by SP and Rogue) fast and with great customer service. Good luck and God Bless.

From personal experience and from talking a good deal with people, i would say that DM#'s and 4's, vikings, and emags are the most reliable.

I owned a Viking for over a year with zero problems that weren't caused 100% by me. I have also heard the Cyborg is a nice too. Markers like the DM's need a little more care than the Viking and Cyborg. That leaves more room for human error which is why 90% of all guns (that I have seen) go down.

If you are looking for a reliable marker, I would stay away from Shockers. They seem to have lots of problems. I didn't have any problems with mine, but I didn't own it long enough to play with it.

Anything AKA is going to be super reliable, but make sure it has eyes if it is an electro. While blind AKA guns shoot just as well, anything that fast should have eyes. Unmillled, ACE'd Vikings can be had for around $500. Vikings are extremely efficient to. Not that important to some, but still cool.

I think that DM4's or 05 Protos are the best deal right now. They can be had for around $500 (more or less depending on upgrades) and they are great guns. Fast, accurate, very little kick. Couldn't really ask for more for the price. While the air efficiency isn't the greatest, simply mods can be done for very little money (Tophat, 530 etc.). The only real maintenance is lubing the bolt assembly.

The Impulse is a super reliable low cost marker. Its easy to maintain, cheap to find parts for. People are almost giving them away.

We use one at the field as a catch all loaner. It never gets cleaned beyond a squeegie down the breech and barrel. It hasn't been serviced since it was put in that position 3 years ago. It has never broken down or stopped working. I would be real suprized if the Vision it has is actually working, but it will certainly fire paintballs.

Most of the problems I have ever seen out of an Impy were caused by the person using it.

you can get a used matrix these days for around 350 with eyes, those things never die, I have a souped up gen-e that I can always rely on to work reliably. THey shoot nice too, fuctionally similar to a DM4/5 but they don't have membrane pad issues. THe only thing that was keeping me from buying a DM4/5 was that membrane pad...now that the membrane has been eliminated I might have to get a dm6
