AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Hell hath froze..... and the pigs.... Palmer's Eblazer
That gun would be awesome. Since we all know Palmer really invented the autococking system, but Jeff Orr allegedly stole the only working prototype(Camille I think?) from a bagage clain center. Or some such like that.
I think you are going to have to back that one up a bit.
to toss gasoline on the flames; i had been told (by no one important, so this is just a rumor) that the deal was Orr could use the cocker design so long as he kept it with sliding triggers, as palmer used "hinge" frames from the get-go. Camille was swiped just before hinge frame's for cockers hit the market. The roumer goes that this was an attempt to rid the world of evidance of prior art by Palmer.
Is it true? I dunno probably not; however it makes for a great paintball soap opera!
Tom was the last of a now extinct breed, a breed of players who build a community, a breed of owners who gave to the sport never taking more than what they deserved. I hope to see you at the feild again some day....
No cmon, everyone knows it's true. Glen created the cocker, not Orr.
All I ever here is one side of the story. I would love to here what TK knows on the subject because I would think they talked about it at the time. I like this kind of industry drama rather than manufaters being forced out by patent issues. Then agian if Glenn had been on his game maybe Bud would have never made the auto cocking sniper.
