Works exactly like all other mags only the A.I.R. regulator has been removed and a palmer stabilizer is run vertically to replace it.

I was fortunate enough to get a "like new" Spyder Hyperframe for basically nothing, so once find a suitable rail, she is off to Luke so he can work his magic, Pics when I get her back!

Oh I didnt read nicads post..Originally posted by Automaggot68He was talking about the manual mode, like an emag.
But with an optical trigger ie eblade, a manual override wouldnt be too hard to pull off, I wouldnt think

i should of posted pictures of my optic trigger spider frame. it needed alot of power for the photosenthic eye, which was reflective, but it also gave alot of extra kick to the solenoid, firing 16 balls per second on a 12 bps frame overheated it pretty quick, i never knew there was other optic triggers.

manual mode was simply a lever you flipped (much like a safety) that removed the trigger backstop so that the trigger could keep going back. (think Emag)
I installed a 1/8" rod between the trigger and the large plate of the solenoid, so the trigger could press on the rod and push the solenoid, which in turn moved the sear. worked quite well really.
The optical trigger was very easy. Get an old mouse (some work well, others dont) and use one of the wheel encoders.. its simply an IR LED and phototransister pair (which can be purchased from many electronic parts places as well.) Mount it in the grip and a thin flat black anything to the trigger to break the beam. Walla!
Yes the Eblades started using opto triggers, then angels (speeds?).. and I think a few others. I have modified quite a few Raceguns and LCD Angels using the ol mouse method.
The Raceboards are easy- they already have an eye voltage output to run the phototransister on. The others are not so easy.. you must knock down the available voltage to a usable range or you will release the magic blue smoke from the eye unit.

You are seriously a god. That's the coolest idea ever. Do you know where the gun is now or do you still have it? That thing is seriously awesome.
