    It Came....

I got my MQ for my cocker today...So excited...I only wish I had my gun here at school so I could make sure it fits...I think I might have to order a new body, especially after I had to shave down my AKA Tornado Valve to fit past the valve jam nut threads...I'll be crossing my fingers...

It's an it's a solenoid operated pilot valve...it's hard to explain exactly how it works without pictures...This is the best descriotion i have found (has an animation too)

Basically...it's a disk that has an equal amount of pressure on both sides, and when the pressure on one side is released by the solenoid, the disk moves...when the disk moves it opens up a pathway for air to enter the bolt of my cocker and eject the ball. When the solenoid turns off, pressure is equalized on both sides of the disk and it closes the valve with a little aid from a spring...it can cycle up to 100 cycles per second.

Awesome, but it still uses a three way, right? (i was always confused on that). Anyway, when i saw the q valve i thought (without seeing the parts) what the, i thought there was just a prototype and no one sold it yet, then i saw it was the cocker one. Haha, oh well, how's it work, or have you not installed it?

No...doesn't use the three way, it plugs into the electronic frame for the cocker in place of the sear solenoid is usually plaugged in (you take the sear sol out).

I haven't had a chance to put it in yet (since im at college and my guns at home) but I'll probably put up some vids when i get it in.

Oh, ok, well then would you care explaining how the bolt is cocked back and all (i just started looking at cockers and found out a month ago exactly how they worked)

Crap...sorry about that...I should've realised how misleading my words were

It still uses a three way, however just not a mechanical three way. The mechanical three way is replaced by a solenoid that comes with the electronic frame.

they make for great hyperframe solenoids, they fit exactly in the spot, so its nice to have a backup for my current one and/or a new hyperframe
