ICD Freestyle FS7. Whats do you guys think of these?

Well my Mag is the best mechanical I've ever owned. Now its time for me to get a new electro. I think the Naughty Dogs version FS7 is sweet looking. Light and small like my Mag. I'm not much for tickering or upgrading and everyone on pbreview said it rips stock. So what do you guys think?

the only complaint I have about my FS is efficiency. It isn't bad on air, just make sure you have the all-day air pass...

They are real light, can be wickedly fast, and have some of the best eye logic.

My team mate has one but is selling it and getting a dm6. It was really light and fast, top of the line. But if you mess with it you can mess them up pretty good. Of the two friends I have that have freestyles they both have had to send them to icd to get them fixed after they broke them.

i loved my freestyle. im sort of already sorry i parted with it... especially for as little as i did.

i have three main complaints with it though. efficiency sucked, but im fairly certain the v7 comes with the bolt kit from hawk, which should have better efficiency. also the freestyle operates off a balance of pressure, and tuning the regs can be annoying because they have to be set well, and also minor changes can cause problems. you might spend a little while at the chrono, but it will be a great marker.

and that leads me to the third complaint. the stock regs suck. which actually reminds me, i almost forgot, i have a STD JDS LPR for a freestyle for sale, i didnt sell it with the marker. PM me if you get a freestyle and want it, but even if you dont buy from me, id still advise you get a STD LPR. for the HPR, a sidewinder would be a great choice.

The new NDV7 has the Hr1 bolt kit 14-1500 off 68- 4500. Also Nox reloaded board. New regs for consistancy also. Not one person at any paintball course around has one so its hard to buy something that you've never seen in person. Keep the info coming

-Hey, if you still have that, I'll take it. Been meaning to get one for my first-gen FreeStyle... Pop me a line, I should have enough in PayPal.

I shot an '04 gen 2 for about nine months and just recently sold it so I could get an '06 speed. It worked perfectly for about 5 months and then I started to have problems with it that ICD couldn't even fix. I finally got it working decently again so I sold it befor I had another problem. I was really impressed with the speed and size of the freestyle. As stated above, the only downside is the efficency. I would only get 3 pods and a hopper off a 68/3000. If you don't care about efficency, the freestyle is awsome and I would highly reccomend one. I think the problems I was having with mine were isolated issues and nothing to worry about. Field stripping was a breeze and it was very easy to maintain.

I've owned one freestyle and shot another. Neither of them ever worked properly. Erratic velocities, slow rof, chops, bad efficiency. Either I am a dumbass and didnt follow the directions properly or the guns were crap. I'm not sure which is true...

EDIT: So I went to a bunch of Freestyle forums and found that I was setting the regs the wrong way... Well sort of, I was doing it the way the manual from ICD said to do it whereas the real/best/recommended way to do it is different.

                      I own a V7, I got it for 550 brand new.

Air effeciency isnt bad. Off my 68/3k i got 800-1000 at 280 FPS.

Adjusting the regs is fairly easy with a stock FS7. Put the HPR to 400 and adjust the LPR until your cycling properly. Then adjust accordingly.

The only reason for freestyles or any icd product "breaking" is a user error. Its a little complicated... not really but some people have troubles with setting regs...

Stock its amazing, its got a pred board which has a few modes.

The stock regs arent bad, i was getting +-4 stock brand new.

The kick is next to nothing, and its extremely light. Very easy to maintain also.

I would suggest this for anybody, buy one youll love it.

ill give you efficiency, everything else isnt exactly true. my freestyle didnt have chopping problems any more than the next gun, velocity was fine and i had a slow rof problem once... which was due to the regs.

its fairly easy to chrono, but takes a little while. turn the LPR up till it leaks, down a bit, ballpark the HP reg depending on your setup, lower LPR until youre shooting 300-320 consistently, turn it back up until youre at the field limit. change your HP reg if you need.

make sure you maintain it, and youll be fine.
