    Automag build Year?

    hey guys
what is the best way to tell how old a 68 auto mag is. i know on guitars you can tell by the serial number, is there something like that. i have a mag w/ the serial #cf04389 on the valve, as well as
    "rated 3000psi
    u.s. & foreign
    pat. pend."

it also has what i think is an old owners manual. it copy write date is 92 but i dont know when the last time they actualy up dated it. it also has some OLD records under the performance secton
highest paint consumption. 600 balls per man
individual player record 1600 rounds in thirty min game
and some other stuff. if you have any info then thanks

^Maybe this website isn't the only one he frequents. I'm sorry, that was too easy.

BTW buddy, the serial numbers will tell you when the gun was made. Watch out for mismatched serial numbers though. Sometimes people have interchanged the front half of the valve and the back (reg) with others. If the numbers are different, you can't know when the complete gun came off the line. I'm not sure when #cf04389 would be from, but I know there are people on here who could tell you. I do think that it isn't too recent though. I'm going to guess mid to late 90's?
