I guess if you left the tank on the gun all the time it would be helpful, but I dont know many people that do that with screw in tanks.

So you can degas the marker between games, putting less strain on the seals. Also, its easier to take tanks off when the pressure has been removed from the system.

        guuurrrrlllly mon

Any decent ASA has a pressure release hole, unscrew 1/2 turn and it degasses, then finish unscrewing it. Saves the O-ring that way. Also, assuming the 420 acts like a slide check, there will be an o-ring or 2 in there that needs maintaining.

I've never seen a N2 tank get stuck on a gun because it was under pressure.... CO2, yes, but never a N2 system.

Cool product, neat idea, but I'll stick with my standard crossfire screw in for now.

Why would you even think of replacing the crossfire?

Another advantage is safety. A unpressurized marker is safer to have off the field than a pressurized one. But you are correct in that the slide check adds maintenance. The only problem I ever had with my Dynaflow was an on/off oring.

I always leave my tank on my gun. That's why I have an on/off asa. I would love this tank. Not screwing your tank on and off all the time saves on orings.

screwing out a pressurized tank is just plain annoying, and it tends to eat through o-rings. when i just had a screw in asa i went through about an o-ring a day, in the past year with an on/off ive gone through... probably 2.

and i have seen a tank that got stuck on a marker... then again it was a 3A tank on an old spyder . as far as i know the tank is still on the gun, we tried just about everything we could at the field, and the reg started coming off the tank.

                crossfired

yeh I wouldnt replace my crossfire tank.

I honestly have never changed the oring on my N2 tank in the 2-3 years I have had it. When I used CO2, it was more of an issue because of those crappy orings that swell and turn white, they would always get cut in the threads.

I use teflon o-rings on all my tanks, so that may be why I never have to change them.

How did you go through an oring a day? i've screwed in my nitro tank a bunch of times and my oring is perfectly fine, and i've never changed it. With co2 i cut one once a year ago at teh valentines day massacre (which is this saturday) and it swelled. I'm confused as to how you went through them so fast. Also, leaving my tank on my gun would be a hassle.

these regs with on/off are really nice. when i was playing reball in IL the owner of CenterFlag also owns this reball field. the gun that is in that movie is also the gun and tank he was showing us, it was really easy to turn on and off. he also told us that they will sell for a good price and it wont be that much more then a normal reg.

edit we also go a box of pods for .50 a pod, it was sweet.
