There are alot of fields around this area that are indoor/year round...but they are all minimum $80 a day or more. Some it's $80/case for paint. Reball is a little cheaper...but that doesn't entice me. Some of the fields have BYOP nights...but it's like Thursday evenings and I work late not to mention you pay huge admission fees for BYOP or you have to be a member .

To be honest, I much prefer outdoor anyways. I could do without the 90 degree/100% humidity August days or the mosquito swarms...but there's just something sweet about playing outdoors.

It took me forever to find a revvy lid. At first, I had java shells and my VL200 lid didnt work. Then I got chameleon shells and I couldnt find the damn VL200

There's a paintball season? I thought everyone played all year round.

Anyways for this upcoming year I need:

          More skill

          More time to play

          and new slider shorts

This year it was all about mods. That doesn't count under needs list. That is under wants list.

Big things I really need is:
a new gear bag / Mine is shot
New lense for the proflex / safety related
Shoes / Fred Flinstone'in it now
              Elbow pads / safety related

I don't want to hijack the thread (I like the topic, looks like Lohman now has 6 useful posts!) , but am I th only one that thinks VL Revys may go down as one of the all-time "quality issues"? I've heard that battery doors get lost and are hard to find. I've heard that people have constant problems with the lid hinge mechanism breaking. That, plus the shells I guess break all the time.

I bought my first Revy last year and after only 1 game, the little piece of plastic holding the door hinge on was broken. Granted, it fell out of my feedneck...but still...I've heard many, many people talk about how the plastic in these shells breaks far too easily.

Given that this item is currently an "industry standard" (the most common agitated hopper for sale and in use), I think this is a big goof by VL not to do better quality control. I don't know why they switched from the previous material they used to make the shells, I've heard that material was much better.

The reason they switched, is because BE bought Viewloader.

I own 2 revy's right now and I love both. One is a standard 12V board and the other is a WAS'ed Turbo Rev Board with a JMJ Impeller. Obviously it can't feed faster than gravity, but it does allow for some VERY consistent 14-15 BPS ropes of paint to come out of my RT. Especially have PF with the elbow, it allows for a longer paint stack and therefore more time for the revvy to feed paint. It's much slower on my E-Mag. But, my WAS'ed revy has yet to break on me. I did have someone shoot right through the shell a few years back, but that was because the gun was later chrono'ed at 410 FPS. I will be getting a Halo/Reloader (haven't decided which yet) next but only because the Revy just isn't quite fast enough.

Get an SCM, its a really good LPR for the older trixes.

If you get an upgraded board it will have programming to reduce the FSDO that comes from really low LPR pressures. I can't remember what its called but I know its available.
