thats the way it should be! and this IS AO, so i think owning a mag should be a requirement.....

i just weighed in my mag 3 times......
    3.25 pounds gun alone
    6.5 with tank
    7.5 with tank and hopper

i think the Z grip could afford to lose a couple ounces.....

I hate reading "I used to own a mag, but not anymore" or "I had one and never again". Get out and may your computer crash! That is how I feel sometimes. I can sit and talk all day long about mags. Run out of things to say I just start over. Anything else paintball related I get board with in a mach minute. Even mag newbie questions don't bore me like reading a post about the latest DM= . I own and use all mags myself. Just having one as a back up or a loner is fine I guess. The posts that chime in from non mag people annoy me.

edit: except ones thinking of buying a mag. Then I can put up with that till they buy something else and wasted my time.

I actually called to get a tune up on a classic I had... and got a voicemail saying nobody was there. This must mean they ARE going out of buisness if there's nobody there. I hope that I can still buy replacement parts!

And mags can be very light. Just not mine.

I bet your thankful when your back guy has an electro throwing ropes. Off topic Rogue I will be playing speedball this Friday using my paradigm for the first time (first time using it for speedball).

But Ive used one, more than once. If I wasnt a die-hard mechanical mag-shooter, either a Matrix, an Ego, or a Cyborg would me my marker of choice. Ive shot and used all 3, and of all the markers Ive shot those are definitly the best of the bunch.

Ive considered owning one of these 3 markers many, many times. At the end of the day though, I realize that if it werent for a computer chip, there is little any of these 3 markers would do for me that my mech mag couldnt/doesnt do.

I play mid/front. And as long as I have a decent back-man, there is little I cant do with my mech marker that I could otherwise do with an electro-ramping marker.

Plus, I am proud knowing that when I make an elimination I can attribute it to my own skill(whether thats my moving skills, shooting skills, or combination of both) along with the teamworking skills of myself and the back-man, and not the "skills" of my marker.
              My bad Oops... hmm... oops

I play local tournaments. I've used the RT to bring up the rear. Learning the game and playing for many years with the same RT, I don't feel out of place with it. Front guys never complained I didn't back them up. I'd bet if the kids with the latest death cannon lost all that techno stuff they would be sitting targets. It don't take any skill to ramp. I think certain skills have been lost by the younger croud that never had to play with a mechanical markers.

Good luck. I hope the Paradigm works out well for you. Let us know how everything goes
I dont ramp. My triggers on my shockers has been known to be a little "bouncy"
I am going to play this whole summer with the mag on rec days and electro on team practice and tournys. I love my mag. If I could figure out how to post a pic on this forum I would, it is one sweet mag.

One of my back players, if forced into a non-bouncey non-ramping gun his value on the field declines by at least 50%. Then I'm forced to play back. For those that have ever observed me try to play back its not a good sight.

Suprised I didn't catch this one sooner. Scott you are way younger. Bob and Brian appeal to the younger croud more so than Bob and Tom. Age 10 more years or so you might think differently. I used to hate Bob and Tom I just couldn't get them. I got older and they make perfect sense to me now. Heck in ten years or hopfully sooner you might think mags are cool enough to own/use again...

But I like it here. I miss my mag, anyone wanna donate one to me so I can be part of the greatness again?!

Anyway, thanks for those numbers. I know my Dallara ULE mag was always one of my lightest guns, it was perfect. I'll just never understand how people can hate mags, they're everything you NEED (ie: you don't need electros) from a marker.
