How do you remove the grip (pic inside)

Hey there, I currently have a dye comfort grip and Im going to have it polished. I was just wondering is there a specific way in removing the grip cushion from the gas thru? I dont want to tear the thing so I figured id post here and see what kind of tips i get. thanks

You will find the rubber grip is quite strong and can handle a bit of twist and stretch.

What I did was start by peeling from the top and rolling it down. So when you have taken it off, the rubber grip will be inside out.

Then to put it back on, reverse the process.

Why do you want to polish the rubber grip?
