WHy no one sets @ 350 fps.!!

I chronoed my mag at skirmish last year and it came in at 494, 512, 508, 509. Mind you I brought out this mag out of resting. I usually use my emag, but I felt compelled to use my mech on everyone. No it wasnt set that way all the time. I just thouroughly cleaned the entire valve all new orings and completely lubricated valve components with dow 33. Then reinstalled the velocity adjuster. The wierdest thing was the velocity was only turned in half way. I had to turn out the velocity until it would not shoot and then start turning back. I finally got it around 280. What really freaked me out is this was with a level 10. I figured it was just everything resetting itself from the cleaning, but could you imagine being shot with that velocity.

Another reason is 300 fps is a velocity where the paintballs don't carry sufficient energy to break fingers (common enough injury back in the day when "if the ball doesn't blow the bark offa tree it was okay to play with.")

that happened to me last sunday- except in my chest... i think he was shooting around 320 though. i got a few other bloody welts on my back/arm at the same time, but the one on my chest ripped thru my shirt and undershirt and made me bleed.

at a couple of games ive been to (all scenario) a few of the speedballers that decide to play have just "accidently" not chroned and shot me at 2-3 feet at way over 300. i guess they think its more manly to make a big welt than a little welt. Losers. God.

One time a kid with a rental put his gun through a big spool, and shot me on the other side.

It was very hard to breath.. and i started to like spaz. Later we chronoed his rental gun that was supposed to be preset at 260fps, was at 425fps.

I seriously thought i was going to die.

First, I would have slapped the idiot for shooting me in the back. Then, when I found out he didn't chrono his gun, I would have kicked him in the balls repeatedly. Finally, when I found out he was shooting 315-360 fps, I would have shot him in his previously kicked balls and then asked if he learned his lesson to chrono his gun every day of play at least.
