Pneumag vs Devilmag

I'm just getting back into paintball after a ~2 year absence and I just bought really nice condition old school R/T that I plan on playing with through this summer and then retire it to backup gun status.

At this point I have my mind pretty set on a high end, ultra fast mag - hence either a Pneumag or Devilmag. If I did the Pneumag, I'd wait until the PTP frame comes out and buy a RT ULE to put it on - I figure that it would run in the $750 range. If I went with the Devilmag, I would just order the entire gun from devilsden.tv and it would come out to about $1000-1100, therefore they would be in the same price range.

I don't really need all the firing modes offered by the electro, I just want the extremely short trigger pull. I prefer to use semi-auto mode - I think I can put more paint in the air than is truly necessary without ramping etc...

So what are everyone's thoughts on the two guns? I guess the advantages of the Pneumag is it is still mechanical - no batteries, and the major advantage to the Devilmag are the eyes.

used xmag, has eyes *not entirely necessary with lvl 10 bolt*, emag speed, good looks, and it would be around the same price. Ive seen x mags get up to 19 bps if you mess with the magnes a little

I have already ordered an ultimate mech frame and plan on cramming a pneumatic set up in it.

Although the site says there out of stock, P.M. CoolHand and find out if he has any, he isn't making them anymore, so I think they would be nice investment if you are forced to sell your gun in the future.

He also make a Ultimate Electronic Mag frame, but that would probably cost you about the same as a devilmag.

I would go for the logic ultimate mag frame. It is a bolt on electropneumatic frame and I'm pretty sure you can get it with eyes.

I believe someone here on AO has a devilmag with a vert frame for sale right now too for around 750 is i am not mistaken.

The pneumag frame from PTP might/might not ever be a reality... the Devilmags are a scarce reality (meaning that production has slowed to non-existent thanks to some parts becoming unavailable - but some people already have one)

I have a devilmag that is up for the right offer here, check it out and let me know.

I would make your own pneumag. No electronics to worry about, no need to wait like the Devilmag. Also much cheaper. Just my $.02.

you cant compare a pneuframe and a devilmag frame. Ones electronic, uses a pancake solenoid and has bb eyes. The other is completely air, uses an air assist triggerpull method to shoot, and relies on an LPR, 3 way and qev. Thats like comparing a C3 to a Dmtrillion. They dont work the same way

oh, and the myth about devilmags existing is true, but they are about as rare as kissing bigfoots left pinky toe.

My advice, pm CoolHand about doing a UMF, Ultimate Mag Frame. It uses a mini air solenoid to trip the onoff, is very compact and for about 600 or so, you could have him build you a one off. All you'd need then is your rail milled, your vert adapter tapped and that sucker will work on any valve you put it on, er, might not work out with the original rt

D-Mags are the best period, I'd reccomend a cheap E-Mag with a ULE body, swap out the solenoid for a shorter length one, add a ULT, and use a 9V with a mini morlock and flash it to the latest predator code.

So what parts needed to make the Devilmag are no longer in production? Is it the trigger frame? What frame is used for the Devilmag? BTW, I would be wanting to have one made with the 90* frame

Im pretty sure its in the chimera frame.

It is and it isn't a Chimera frame, they are unfinished frames that are then milled to GA Devils specs.

So If I get a Chimera frame, can I then later send it to GA Devil along with a new x-valved mag and have it made into a Devilmag? Or is the finished Chimera frame that you could buy off the shelf (when they were in production) not compatible with the Devilmag conversion?
