    Define bunkering

My other thread brings up a really unimportant question, but I wonder nonetheless.

I feel like any time you shoot another player at close proximity who is behind cover w/o them knowing or being able to get a shot back at you (fairly) you have bunkered them. Regardless of whether you were running past, etc.

    How would you define bunkering?

bunkering would be going up to someone, actually on their side, and either tagging them or shooting them (Im nice to ppl on rec days, but anytime I get close enough to bunker, you know its sad[im 6 foot 3, 280, so you do the math on how embarassing its gotta be to be bunkered by the biggest guy out on the field])

what you did was camping. "Now kiddies... We're not in the Boy Scouts, no camping allowed..."
it was a nice placement though. But all you did was post up at his bunker and wait to shoot him

Wow!! Camping? No I call camping hiding under a bush and waiting for someone to walk by. I went to his bunker, knelt down, leaned over and shot. Bunkering may be in question, but camping it was not....

camping, ie: waiting. You waited for him to turn, be it 2 seconds or 2 hours.

Glad you were there with a stopwatch. Lol.

Well, ok if thats what you want to call it, I camped out in front of the bunker for like .03 seconds while I made a decision that by calculating and firing one shot based on presumptions about this players strategys I was able to safely do in one shot what would have taken you and your agg counterparts 15 balls (or more) and a good chance of being eliminated.

Is that good tactics or merely glory hunting and bloodlust?

My defintion of bunkering would be exactly what was described in post 1 of this thread.

sorry for the hijack, but I just have to know - WTF does "AGG" stand for? This was not a term that was common (at least to me) a few years ago when I got out of the game, and now I see it all over the place...

lol, my agg counterparts? Since when was AGD agg? As in I shoot a hypermag
what do you shoot?...can you still call me agg?
btw, i've bunkered TAF, from AO, a guy like 5 foot 3 maybe 150 now and he has 6 years playing exp and i didnt shoot him, just tagged him and said "You're out", so "my agg counterpart" used 0 balls to do what you wished you did in 1

Bunkering is moving, in close proximity, so there is no bunker between you and the person you are shooting. What you did was shoot a neighbor (good move). If you had come around the bunker it would have been bunkering.

When I crawled the snake on Sunday, came up behind there fifty, turned and took out two exposed players it was not bunkering, there were no bunkers between us but we were not in close proximity.

I would say that to be a bunker one must make a run and shoot someone at a close range. Much like a run through or doing a superman over the snake and shooting the guy underneath you(I wish I could)
