I like the Shocker, and thats it, that is the only one that appeals to me.

I just don't like the Ion, it is to me, ugly and newbish, thats right I said newbish. They are easy to obtain and lay down huge streams of paint, and yes I realise that it's not the gun, it's the player, but everyone gets annoyed while trying to run the tape line with the little kid in the back laying down 13 bps with his Ion. If it were more expensive, I wouldn't mind it, but because it is so cheap and easy to obtain, it is certainly a weapon finding its way into newbs hands.

I dont know what you guys are complaining about, who cares if sp puts kingmann out of buisness, thats the way it should be, the make a better product at a lower price, nobody likes a spyder anyway, and if some guy wants to get into paitballing it is much more fun when your gun WORKS, and can at least keep up with other guns on the feild.

true, but SP has RUINED the retail of just about everything else. unless you're buying high end guns, you'd hate SP too

you do realize you can hit 13bps on a stock spyder imagine from walmart, right?

nobody likes a spyder anyway, and if some guy wants to get into paitballing it is much more fun when your gun WORKS, and can at least keep up with other guns on the feild.

no one likes spyders, thats why they sell a bajillion of them and have been for years. if spyders didnt work, they wouldnt sell... Ive owned a few and have seen many work with the people I have been playing paintball with for 5 years...

and spyders can keep up with any other gun on the field... its all about the electronics, the only difference is how you fire those rounds.

If you don't like the kid in the back laying down 13bps while you try to run the tape, then I'll take my 32-year old lardbutt back there and lay down even more. I really don't understand your point. If it's the player, which you yourself claim it is, I worry less about someone who might only be twice as old as I've been playing. I'll take my chances with an inexperienced player and 13bps ANYWHERE on the field. The guys I worry about are the ones who have experience and lay down 15bps. I've seen kids try to hit a moving target, even with a fast-shooting marker. They rely on luck a heck of a lot less than I do.

You wouldn't be bothered if it was priced higher? Wha? There are a lot of markers that are both easy to obtain and incredible values. Did you throw a fit when ICD dropped prices on Bushies (hell, I'm pissed but only because I bought mine at the first price drop, $340)? How about when they released the Promaster at $370? Did you complain when E2s dropped? I bought a new Viking months ago for the same price as the Nerve now. Impulses have dropped as well. SP has been selling several PL Imps on eBay at reduced prices. Look at the availability of high-end markers at bargain prices in the B/S/T forums. Your point makes no sense.

My god, you kids complain when someone is using a $1,000 marker and now you complain they're using a $200 marker. Make up your mind! And believe me, Kingman can drop their prices quite a bit before they it's no longer profitable enough for them. I'd be more worried if I worked at a company like Tippmann. How much does an e-gripped A-5 cost? I'm not so sure they can take the hit.

Why buy a spyder when you can buy another gun at the same price that DOESN'T have a cheap spring loaded bolt and has BREAK BEAM EYES and weighs half as much.

I like the newbs laying down paint. Gives me something to do. I get a reputation for not getting hit simply because some people just don't know how to lane. I can run past some kiddie's hail of paint and shoot once or twice to get an elimination.

How I read this

Who runs the tape line against newbies? If the people you are competing against are of lower skill level then you are don't you have an obligation not to go all out, or to reclassify your division in a tournament?

I never said that I would get out or couldn't run the tape line, it just annoys me now a days, because everybody in that back corner has an Ion, you don't see spyder imagine's or other cheap wal-mart electronics, you see just about every form of Ion you can think of.

It seems like you are mad because you are getting out more often. Why are you playing against all noobs anyway, and why would you want to play against people who all had guns that were less special than your own? Sounds kind of.. egotistical?

I think SP has to be the most agressive company in the industry. They are constantly pulling moves that people. They have great guns, regardless of what all the hateres think, and they can sell them for cheap. Any new player would buy the Ion over the Wrath, Promaster, Spyders, A-5 (unless they came from the military ) simply because of the price now. It is funny to watch people say that they don't want to spend a lot of money on a new gun because 'it's the player not the gun.', yet they complain that people all have ions.

Well if its true that WDP, SP, and DYE are all merging together on that electronic patent market. Cant they be considered a Monopoly? Which means that soon enough they will be broken up, forced to share their patents at minimal profit to them, and forced to raise gun prices up. Thats what happened to Standard Oil, and Bell telephones. I can see it happening in paintball if things turn down the wrong road. Forget SP, WDP, ( I still like DYE) Im an aoer through and through
