    Removing maxflow

Hey guys I have an inline maxflow reg on my crossfire tank and need help. My on/off valve on my reg won't turn the reg off and I need to replace the o-ring in it. Thing is I have to take the reg completely off my tank. What is the easiest way to take the max flow reg off so I can rebuild it? What tools can I use to get it off and what kind of tool could torque it back on there? Because the max flow reg is a cube shape. Thankx for you help guys...

Hey bro thanx a lot for your help it is much appreciated. Mine is not locktighted (lol sp). So I guess I can just use a strap wrench. I thought it had to be torqued on there but if you say by hand is okay that sounds good. Also what is the easiest way to keep that o ring from being cut like you say? Because I have seen that this is a common problem with these regs.

Sorry to say this, but I think the last run of these things were all defective. I could not find a way to keep mine from cutting those o-rings.
I know 3 other guys localally that have them and all of us have reluctantly moved on. Its too much of a hassle and it seems like it just gets worse. I seriouly only got 1 tank of air out of mine before it ate it. Then after that it was hopeless. I used that reg in a whole 1 game. It is really too bad I liked it when it worked for 30 seconds, It looked great on the gun, and not to mention it was $$$. After $50 of o-rings for the thing I finally said forget it.

Sell it. and put a preset back on that crossfire bottle (they are the best)... thats what I did.
I will say this was the first time I was truly dissapointed with SP, and it was enough I won't buy thier products anymore if thats all the r/d they put into things. Sorry SP, that was an expensive screw up, you should have recalled it.

Hope you can get it to work. there are some mods that claim to solve the problem... but there are some other little gremlins inside that thing I didn't want to deal with.

Hmm well that sux. I still have a blank warrenty card so I may just send it in and tell those SOB's to fix it. This is the first smart parts item I have owned and I am not liking them so far. All I want is to be able to turn the darn thing off lol...
