You know what - I like that idea. If they (Celebrity Paintball) doesn't offer Jerseys for the game - we should design our own (in two different colors of course)Originally posted by Glickmani hope we have a theme, and if we do, we can look at CSG if they dont sell them
I like the sound of that!
And to quote RoboCop "I'd buy that for a dollar" (okay I'll actually pay more than a dollar for a cool themed jersey but you know what I mean)

Has anyone tried to contact Jungle Island?"Don't hit at all if you can help it; don't hit a man if you can possibly avoid it; but if you do hit him, put him to sleep."

Hey no Prob. You can mail all of your great to my house!!!Originally posted by PirateGentI have heard the "UPS/FedEx" idea offered before. Not sure how I feel about it. I know back in 2004 when the jerseys were sent out the arrived at my house 5 hours AFTER I left for Joliet (12 drive) - luckly the wife was home (with our 3 month old) and was able to re-ship with guarnteed Saturday delivery for the Game on Sunday!!
I would hate for there to be a problem with UPS/FEDEX and arrival/ship times causing me to miss them and having to resort to rentals.
Guess my best bet is to make friends with TSA and make sure all my i's are dotted and my t's crossed.
(Cause I know I AIN'T going to drive coast to coast!)

So what does everything think the Theme will be/should be/could be?
I had a thoughts of British Navy vs Pirates - think the props would be buried treasure, skeletons, cannons and stuff.
But I don't think that will work with what Jungle Island has to offer (according to reports ALL their vehicles will be in play!!)
Maybe a "Mad Max" scenario or WWII theme (I hope not - so over done - we need this game to be special!)
thoughts?

so do we even know if it's going to happen? cause i don't want to get my hopes up and have it either not happen or be a total waste of my time and money.

Guys,
Its going to be a World War II theme as you can imagine. We are trying to get the rights to use certain names for the event and thats not happening fast. We are going to incorporate several big generals into this so if you know your history think which generals duked it out.
We will most likely do t-shirts again this year since everyone seemed to like what you got for the price.
We announced a little early and things are not coming together as fast as we wanted so please stand by while we work it ou. IT IS HAPPENING though so keep that in mind.

Technically no. But they were both in the African theater and later the European theater at the same time.Originally posted by kansas kaosThat would have been interesting but the 2 never faced one another."Don't hit at all if you can help it; don't hit a man if you can possibly avoid it; but if you do hit him, put him to sleep."

Tho correct that was not the task put forth.... Here is the statement: "We are going to incorporate several big generals into this so if you know your history think which generals duked it out."Originally posted by PickleTechnically no. Rommel "duked it out" with Monty (montgomery) in Northern Africa. In fact Rommel got his butt handed to him at the battle of el-Alamein.
Gerd von Rundstedt was the German Supreme Commander in Western Europe at the time of the Allied invasion and thereafter, making him a better choice for Pattons counterpart.
