Whats the deal with JT straps?

Hey,

So I was browsing (EDIT, wasting time) on PBN and I saw about 15 threads on JT straps for sale that are "RARE RARE RARE". And people throwing out $60 for a strap. Is it just me or does this seem like the biggest waste of money in paintball equipment yet.

lol i was just lookin at straps today..and one girl that works at a local pro shop dropped 200 for hers..its that they were " classic" or retro..older jt straps that were used back when jt was into motorcross..and most of these straps meant nothing untill they became agg..now guys who had them laying around from the 80's are making huge scores off of them..i like the white retro myself..mainly due to the fact i want one for my E vents...but the guy wants 60 buxx..like do i realy need to be agg? i can have the new version for 25..ill just get the newer version..so what if im not agg..like i give a damn..lol[SIZE=1]

I understand paying a lot for rare items, but when it becomes $60 for a strap, well, a line has to be drawn.

what makes the straps special? graphics or touched by ollie lang or something? rediculous no matter what... unless they have gold or dimonds on them.

Yep I have seen this too. I have a ton of old JT stuff laying around. Including straps. I should go sell them to make some money.
